Many conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events on the protection of natural resources are organized at national and international levels around the world. However, there are significant differences in the protocols that have been sanctioned and applied. Many groups are attempting to raise public awareness about the importance of water conservation.
Dera Sacha Sauda is an organisation that goes to great lengths to save the environment. EFFECTIVE MEASURES TO CONSERVE & REUSE WATER

To conserve the water, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has suggested various tips which we can follow on daily basis to conserve it. Here are some of the tips mentioned below to save water:
Avoid using shower, use bucket instead of it.
Turn off the tap when not in use while shaving, washing clothes and dishes.
Avoid running tap water to wash vegetables, instead of it use any bowl or container, add water to it and then wash veggies.
Use least possible water while washing your hands.
Use a cup or glass of water while brushing instead of using running tap water.
For the farming of vegetables & tree plantation, conserve rain water effectively.
Promote the usage of solar panels because it saves water which is necessary for electricity generation.
Tips to Reuse bathroom water-
Make a pit under bathroom drainage.
Put some concrete, gravel & sand over the way where that water passes.
The sand, gravel will filter the bathing water.
Now, reuse that water in vegetable farming and watering other plants.
Effective use of Rain Water conservation- During the rainy season, farmers can make a deep pool in their fields & spread on a thick polythene on it and fix it with loamy soil. It’s a very less expensive & effective methods. Whenever rain occurs, the water gets stored in that pool and can be used later. Presently, thousands of farmers are following this method which is affordable to everyone.
From this collected rainwater, drip system & fountain system can be connected. Via these various types of vegetables can be grown. In this way water will be used in least amount and productivity will definitely increase than before because the crop may get destroyed due to excessive irrigation.

Humans have indiscriminately abused natural resources to satisfy their insatiable demands and avarice. The scarcity of finite resources is exacerbated by a continuous increase in population density. We must conserve water because saving water not only saves water but also saves energy because it takes a lot of electrical energy to filter, heat, and pump water to households in order to make it fit for drinking and other uses. To control the rising population, a very nice initiative has been started by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan which is named “Content With One”, through which lakhs of people pledged to have only single child.

DSS INITIATIVES TO CONSERVE NATURAL RESOURCES

When it comes to environmental conservation, it is a call to every single person on this planet. For everyone of us, environmental preservation is not an option, but a must. We are born from nature, live among natural resources, and will one day return to it. As a result, we must be accountable for wisely using it and making every effort to conserve the environment.
Not only water, Dera Sacha Sauda has step forward to conserve the essential natural resources which are on the verge of depletion and it’s our duty to preserve them for future use such as;
Improve the groundwater level by planting more trees, like Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers: If we plant as many trees as possible, we will be able to improve the water level in the ground. Every year DSS volunteers organizes mega tree plantation drive to make sustainable use of natural resources.
Water Is Life; Under this initiative Saint Dr. MSG states that, “Teaching that Water is life, to save it and encourage all for Harvesting Water”, and people are following it judiciously.
Solar panel installation; Being a nature enthusiast, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan supports the use of sustainable energy sources such as solar energy. Solar panels have been erected on the top of Dera Sacha Sauda’s outbuildings in a large region. These solar panels save a lot of water and energy that would otherwise be used to generate electricity.
Biogas is a renewable energy source that is good for the pollution free environment. The installation of biogas plants in both urban and rural locations minimizes pollutants while also being environmentally friendly. On the grounds of Dera Sacha Sauda, a massive biogas plant is being constructed. Human and animal waste is collected in a storage facility and used to generate gas, which is subsequently used to generate energy.

CONCLUSION

Water and energy are the most important resources on the planet, as they are required in large quantities for domestic tasks, construction projects, and agricultural. We simply use WATER without considering our own and future generations’ needs.
