Homely Shelter -Providing home to destitutes

“Stay Home Stay Safe”: the slogan was well preached during the pandemic. Everyone from Prime Minister to celebrities was telling everyone to be at home. And it was realized that home is the place that makes you feel more secure on this earth. But what about those who do not have a house to stay. Their safety and welfare have been always neglected in society. There are many migrants who work hard but still cannot afford their own pucca house.

A safe homely abode is a dream for many people.

  • According to the data, there are about 1.82 million people who are homeless in India. Homelessness is a dreadful violation of the human right to adequate housing and women suffer the worst kinds of violence and insecurity. They are among the most marginalized, ignored, and discriminated against and are vulnerable to sexual exploitation and trafficking. Though the Government has passed various projects, but implementation is far away. As the winter is near, the suffering of homeless people this year will be more due to the pandemic. These people cannot afford proper healthcare. Also, there are many daily wage workers who earn meals through work on a daily basis. There are many needy disabled people who live in rental houses and have to migrate from time to time. A safe home is still a dream for them.

The organization that took the initiative of fulfilling the dreams of the destitute.

  • There are many volunteers who take a step to help these people in every possible way. Dera Sacha Sauda is an organization working under the guidance of Revered Guru, Saint Dr.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. Homely Shelter” initiative has been taken by the Organization. Under this initiative, volunteers contribute from their hard-earned money to collect funds. They will use that collected fund to help these destitute people. They construct homes for these destitute and provide them ‘ready to move in homes’. Volunteers not only build homes but also provide land to them. Also, they arrange for a source of income for such people and make every bit to improve their lives.

Hundreds of houses have been built to date.

To date, thousands of pucca houses have been built by volunteers. These houses include bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, etc. with proper space and ventilation. Even the people from well-established families volunteer in this welfare works and help in building houses. It is indeed heartening to see everyone from different backgrounds working together to build dreams. It is good to observe that they put efforts to make people live a life where they feel cared for and tended to.
This welfare work is carried out by volunteers almost every month in various parts of the world such as volunteers of Abohar, Punjab built a house.

The initiative is carried in each and every block, city, district, and state of India, and many countries. Besides making new homes, volunteers also repair and Renovate old or damaged homes and make it in a position to give shelter to the needy with the pious guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
Every day is a special day to help.
Volunteers leave no opportunity to help the needy. On every occasion, birthdays, incarnation months of his holiness Saint Dr. MSG, all around the year and on festivals, etc., volunteers celebrate by welfare. Thus the key to happiness (home) is provided to needy people who once dreamt of their own house.

In return, these volunteers demand nothing, they build homes absolutely free without taking a single penny from anyone. All the construction equipment and materials are bought from their hard earned money. In return, they get immense blessings from their Almighty, which for them is a treasure costlier than money.

Working for humanity is the supreme worship.

People across the globe follow various religions, practice various traditions, do various types of worship to attain peace. But in every religion, it is told that God resides in the heart. Love and compassion for humanity is the best way of worship that impresses God. When we are considerate about others, sacrifice our worldly desires to benefit others and make them happy, ultimately the door to heaven open for us.
This is what volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda believe in. These people believe that humanity is the supreme religion and welfare is supreme worship. They work around the clock to make this world a better place and to spread love and peace with the pious inspiration of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.

Who infuses such compassion among millions?

Millions of people today believe that selfless service to God’s creation provides the utmost happiness. It is because they have been taught the true teaching of spirituality by His Holiness Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. Guruji has filled such a passion in them that Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers are carrying about 134 humanitarian works all over the globe. They serve the needy, plant trees, feed hungry, donate blood, feed animals and birds, etc. These people have become the soldiers of humanity under the guidance of their Guru, their Messiah, Saint Dr. MSG. In return, they feel themselves instilled with divine pleasures and peace.

Conclusion

Let us pay our contributions and support these volunteers in their great initiative “homely shelter”.
