WHAT IS THALASSEMIA?

So, what is this disease and what causes it? Simply put, it’s a blood disorder caused by your body’s inability to create enough of a protein called haemoglobin, causing red blood cells to stop functioning properly. Because they last for a shorter time, there are fewer healthy red blood cells in the bloodstream.
This genetic anomaly is passed down from one’s parents. If one of the parents is a carrier for Thalassemia, his or her offspring may get thalassemia minor, a mild version of the disease. There’s a twist now. Although someone with thalassemia minor may not show symptoms, he or she will be a carrier. Thalassemia might cause modest symptoms in certain people. If both parents are Thalassemia carriers, the child has a considerably higher probability of acquiring a more severe form of the disease. This blood-related sickness, on the other hand, has several stages that influence its severity. People with some of the lesser forms of Thalassemia may not require therapy in general.

WHY 8TH MAY is marked AS THALASSEMIA DAY?

World Thalassemia Day is observed yearly on May 8 by the Thalassaemia International Federation. This day honours the daily battle that thalassemia patients wage against the disease in the hope of a better life. The need to raise education and awareness among the population, as well as inspire the youth to get tested before transmitting the condition to their offspring and to receive treatment before it’s too late, is why the 8th of May is designated as International Thalassemia Day.

Every month, Dera Sacha Sauda has been donating blood to Thalassemia sufferers and the Indian Army to meet their blood needs. Children with Thalassemia require blood transfusions every three weeks to survive and thrive. This makes obtaining blood for these people difficult.
Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has advocated for regular blood donation for these patients. The volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda make it a point to donate blood every three months to meet the demand for blood, which is even more vital in these critical times of coronavirus pandemic. So, Guruji named these volunteers as “True Blood Pump” who are 24*7 hours ready to save the precious lives. Even monthly blood donation camps are organized by DSS for the needy patients. During these camps, the blood banks reaches their maximum of the maximum capacity.

The International Blood Bank of Revered Bapu Magghar Singh Ji has been founded to provide the safest blood and packed blood cell transfusion services at no cost. In India, it is projected that 2 million units of packed red blood cells are needed each year for Thalassemia patients.
At Sirsa, a 300-bed Shah Satnam Ji Super Speciality Hospital has been developed, with capabilities for Thalessemia patients’ diagnosis and treatment.
Guruji has generously donated Rs.40 lakh from the proceeds of ‘MSG, The Messenger’ blockbuster movie to a research effort aimed at eradicating this deadly disease.

As on the pious day of 29th April, 1948 Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj laid the foundation of Dera Sacha Sauda which is the biggest center of Humanity in the World. On 29th April, 2022 special Spiritual Congregation was held in Sirsa, Haryana on the auspicious Foundation Day of Dera Sacha Sauda (Confluence of All Religions). It goes without saying that the devotion and discipline of the devotees who gathered there were extraordinary. WONDERFUL ARRANGEMENTS AND THE BEGINNING

Even the sweltering heat and rising temperatures couldn’t dampen their devotion to ‘Satguru’, who had shown them the appropriate way to live. Large crowds of disciples flocked to the location where Spiritual congregation was held. As soon as the ceremony began at 10 a.m., the entire seating area became packed with ecstatic disciples who had came to commemorate this wonderful month. Despite the massive scale of the arrangements, everything looked insignificant in comparison to the followers’ devotion to their Satguru. As a result, on-the-spot seating arrangements were made for the constantly arriving disciples from various locations.
The holy chant ‘Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Aasra’ began the Naam-Charcha, and everyone expressed gratitude to His Holiness for uniting them with Supreme Power. The Almighty’s melodies were sung, and disciples offered prayers and thankfulness for the Almighty’s ultimate kindness in their lives. On large screens, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan’s recorded sermons were shown.

Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan addressed everyone that only God’s name has the power to change their lives in unbelievably amazing ways. When one meditates on God’s words, he experiences enormous joy that is unattainable in the materialistic world. Guru Ji also spoke about the significance of this month in bringing everyone together. Today, people of all religions and castes can gather in Dera Sacha Sauda and proclaim the Lord’s praises in their respective languages. No one is subjected to any restrictions, impediments, or prejudice. Guru Ji stated that we should always be grateful to Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj (First Spiritual Master) for founding the Confluence of All Religions on April 29, 1948, which is undoubtedly proving to be a blessing to the people and changed millions of lives by carving out them from evils.

The happiness of disciples was on peak when they received the 10th letter of their Guruji Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. Guruji congratulated and gave blessings to all his followers. Guruji wrote in his letter that
The founder of Dera Sacha Sauda, Shah Mastana Ji founded Dera in 1948 and sowed the seed of humanity and spirituality. Today that sapling became the big tree which will be cared for by MSG in future with the blessings of former Mentor.
Guruji also added that the disciples should be aware and alert in present time and follow the words of Satguru because only he is the true messenger of God.
Guruji mentioned about the spiritual congregations which were organised in the context of Foundation Month in the different states. He blessed the Dera volunteers who did humanitarian service during these events.
He asked the followers not to trust false things and always stay away from negativity. He also advised them that they should not involve themselves in any type of backbiting.
He also introduced new humanitarian work as Care for old parents who are abandoned by their children.
In the end of letter, he again blessed the followers and motivated them for doing good deeds.

A UNIQUE RITUAL OF CELEBRATION: WELFARE WORKS

Dera Sacha Sauda follows a unique ritual of celebration. The 138 welfare work series initiated by Saint Dr. MSG have a major role in every event of celebration. Similarly, in the pious Namcharcha which was held at Sirsa, welfare activities were followed.
As the hot summer season has arrived. To protect the beautiful creatures of nature, as per the initiative “Bird Nurturing” 529 water containers are distributed among the followers to spread the message of saving Bird species. Under this initiative, on daily basis millions of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers keep feed and water on their rooftops, trees and public places too for birds.

Under the “Food Bank”, 29 needy families are distributed with monthly rations.

To help women and girls become self-dependent, 29 sewing machines were distributed to them.

29 needy pregnant ladies were given nutritious ration under the initiative ‘Respect Motherhood’.

Clothes were given to 29 needy children.

To help differently able people, 10 tricycles were distributed to the needy ones.

To help needy people have roof over their head, 18 completely ‘ready to move in houses’ were built by the volunteers and in today’s celebrations, keys were handed over to the needy families.

To help widow to get remarried, DSS is running an initiative under which 2 marriages were solemnized today.

1 marriage also got solemnized where well settled and independent girl married a differently abled boy

29 tribal marriages also took place making them part of proper civilised society. It’s true efforts by Guruji to connect tribals to the mainstream.

3 dowry free marriages also got solemnized giving society a good message.

After all these activities, the pious ‘Langar’ and ‘Prashad’ is distributed to everyone. Every follower is thankful to Guru Ji to make their life blissful. With these humanitarian services, happiness was multiplied. It was a truly a beautiful day, and the excitement on devotees’ faces was a sight to witness! We are grateful to His Holiness for His inexhaustible graces and generosity!

To cope up with unpredictable natural disasters and for various emergencies a special autonomous team has been created by Dera Sacha Sauda under the guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. This team is called the Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing. In this team, people of all spheres like doctors, engineers, technicians, mechanics, teachers are truly represented. Presently, this wing comprises of about 50k volunteers. These members are trained to provide assistance in all kinds of disasters like saving people from fires, rescuing people from rubble following earthquake, providing aid after Tsunami, rescuing people from drowning etc. A training is also given to the members every year to keep them updated and fit . Wherever any natural disaster takes place, even at the cost of endangering their lives, these volunteers reach the disaster struck places and provide assistance.
All members have given a legal undertaking that they themselves are responsible for any consequence, which is a proof of their unbeatable passion to serve humanity

God has blessed us with His Most Beautiful Creation – Nature. It is even believed that Nature is God itself. But in this fast-growing world, Humans have forgotten the blessings of nature and are continuously degrading it as per their selfish needs. Therefore, to conserve and preserve nature, Earth Day is celebrated on the 22nd of April every year. There is a need to spread awareness among people about the safety and care of our mother nature.

World Earth Day- History and Theme 2022.

The day was first celebrated in 1970 and then, gradually, a network progressed and it was decided to celebrate it globally. In 1969, in a press conference organized by UNESCO, it was decided to celebrate this day for the first time on 21 March 1970, but later some changes were made in it and it was decided to celebrate it on 22 April.

This day mainly depends on environmental issues and programs from all over the world, the main purpose of this day is to inspire people for clean air, water, and the environment.

Every year, a theme is followed by all the countries as a way to work for the

betterment of nature. This year, the day is also going to be celebrated with a theme, “Invest In Our Planet.”

Significance of World Earth Day :

The increase in population has put an unnecessary burden on natural resources. Therefore, the importance of activities like Earth Day has increased for the right use of its resources. According to the Live Science IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the sea level has risen by 20% since 1880, and it continues to rise. It can increase to 58 to 92 centimeters by 2100, which is very dangerous for the Earth. The main reason for this is the melting of glaciers due to global warming, due to which the earth can be submerged. According to IPCC environmentalists, the Maldives could be completely submerged by 2085.

The importance of Earth Day increases for the protection of humanity. It inspires us to make excellent use of fossil fuels. Celebrating this has a positive effect on the promotion of global warming, which inspires us to improve our standard of living. It explains the importance of energy storage and its renewable cautions against its unnecessary use in Carbon dioxide and methane emissions activities.

Not only this, but volunteers also plant saplings on their special occasions and contribute to the welfare of mankind.
CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN:-
To promote hygiene and cleanliness, various cleanliness campaigns have been successfully conducted by DSS in various cities. The cities are cleaned by followers themselves to make them disease-free.

SCIENTIFIC FARMING: DSS has taken a step forward to educate and guide farmers to get better yields from their land through scientific techniques of cultivation.

Saint Dr. MSG who is the chief of DSS has encouraged volunteers to say no to plastic bags and prefer cloth bags. Burning fodder is not advised, instead, preparation of manure from Agricultural waste is preferred to make the environment pollution-free.

Yaad E Murshid Free Disability correction camp

Today is the second day of 13th free Disability correction camp, which is being organised at Dera Sacha Sauda annually in the holy remembrance of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who is the first Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, who taught the Method of Meditation, practicing which many are living blissful life . Meditation has changed and has been changing lives of millions of people and showing the right path of living. It’s the real tribute that volunteers pay to their spiritual master.

Commenced at 9 AM, the Disability correction camp has kick start successfully at Shah Satnam Ji Super Specialist Hospital. First day of the camp was all about registration of patients and preliminary screening.

The camp was inaugurated by the respected royal family members with the sacred slogan ‘Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra’.
The whole place was filled with the love and dedication of volunteers and doctors who will serve the people who visited to get their traetment done, was totally unmatched. His holiness Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has said that – “whoever serves patients in this camp wholeheartedly as same as they are serving the Almighty Himself, and those who selflessly serve almighty, thy surely showers grace on them.
Volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda, use all the possible ways to help the patients coming for checkup with each and everything that is required.

Important dates for the free Disability correction camp

The registration and checkup of patients starts on 18th April 2022 at Dera Sacha Sauda and operations have commenced from 19th April and camp will continue till 21st April. Those who are suffering with deformities can get the benefit of this camp.

Why is this free Disability correction camp organised every year?

The main purpose of this camp is to eradicate polio and existing deformities in patients, providing them free surgery if required, and to give free medicines and assisting devices to needy ones. Many Prominent Doctors and surgeons from all over India have been providing their services in this camp to the patients from all the places. Not only this, even the accommodation and food is provided to the patients, deformity checkup is done and medicines are provided. Not only preliminary examinations and surgeries are done, but also mobility aids like calipers and artificial limbs are also provided to the patients.

Highlights of 74th Foundation month celebrations of Dera Sacha Sauda

April Month is very special for followers of Dera Sacha Sauda. 29th April 1948 was the day when Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj established this socio-spiritual organization at Sirsa, Haryana. On 29th April 2007, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan initiated “Jaam -e – Insan Guru Ka“ and gave a pace to welfare works. The whole month of April is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Mega celebrations were held this Sunday (17th April) of Foundation Month all over the country, especially in Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh.

The benevolence of a True Guru is immense.

It’s almost impossible to measure the depth of a True Saint’s grace that doesn’t have a beginning or end. The benevolence of a True Guru is infinite, immense, and inexpressible. The endless love, care, and benevolence of the Spiritual Masters of Dera Sacha Sauda are ineffable.

Dera Sacha Sauda was founded on April 29, 1948, by Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who is the first Spiritual Guide of Dera Sacha Sauda. His Holiness bestowed a pious method of meditation to the people and showed them the way to work for the welfare of humanity. The second Spiritual Master Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj conducted thousands of satsangs and taught lakhs of people to walk on the path of humanity by giving Naam Shabad. The present Master Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan accelerated this mission of humanity and made millions of people prosperous by giving them the precious gift of Naam Shabad. His Holiness saved the gravest of sinners with one divine sight and freed them from the Karmic cycle of births and deaths.

Celebration of Foundation Month was held on Sunday, 17th April 2022 in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Lakhs of people gathered at the Police ground, Dharmshala. They were dressed in regional costumes and danced in happiness. People from others states also reached to witness the celebration. Naam Charcha was organized here and everyone was drenched in the ocean of spirituality. Pious Sermons of Saint Dr.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan enlightened masses.

Apart from the mega celebration in Himachal Pradesh, various other states also celebrated pious foundation month. Namcharcha was held with pomp and gaiety at site no. 1, Recreational Complex, Tughlakabad, Delhi where thousands of people gathered.
The people of Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh also celebrated by organizing Naam Charcha.
A similar celebration was held in Budharwali (Rajasthan), Budhni, (Madhya Pradesh), Uttarakhand, Mansa (Punjab), Faridabad, Rewari, Gurugram, and Mahendragarh (Haryana).

Celebrations are useless if they don’t fill someone’s life with smiles and happiness. The celebration of the foundation month of Dera Sacha Sauda was also commemorated with varied golden works of welfare and brought smiles to the lives of needy and distressed people. Himachal Pradesh

A free medical check-up camp was organized by a team of specialist doctors. Free medicines were distributed. Apart from this, nutrition kits were distributed to 29 needy children. Sewing machines were distributed to 7 needy women to encourage self-employment.

Delhi

Volunteers distributed rations to 629 needy families, 729 water bowls for birds, 129 fruit kits to needy and orphan children and three tricycles to physically Disabled people.

Faridabad

Ration Kits containing ration of a month were distributed to 29 needy families

With the grace of the masters of Dera Sacha Sauda, infinite people left all their evils and shunned drugs and wrong-doings. They pledged to be on right track in all sorts of situations and are leading peaceful life.
