Food Bank to feed the hungry

As we all know that food is a basic need for all humans, but some people cannot afford it, so cater to this basic need of the needy people, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan established “Food Bank”. This food bank is not at one place only. Such food banks are at multifarious locations where Dera Sacha Sauda followers live.

How does the Food bank work?

Dera Sacha sauda volunteers keep fast once in a week and give that day’s saved food to the needy nearby after collecting it in their food banks. This food is provided to thousands of needy families on monthly basis. Millions of Dera Sacha Sauda followers fast once in a week to put their food’s portion in someone else’s plate. Keeping fast and giving a little part of food to feed someone is a unique way of serving humanity which revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan initiated. Those who cannot keep fast, they buy raw food products from shops and give to the needy.

How does keeping fast once in a week benefit our own body?

Our body’s digestion system is what keeps us fit and fine by working 24/7 for digesting the food in our body which we eat several times a day. Just like our external body parts, some of our internal body parts need rest too because they work every single moment. If we keep fast one day, our intestine system will get rest and will work on burning the extra fat or food clutters from our stomach which improve our digestive system. For meditating and exercising properly, keeping fast helps a lot. When we do not have more food in our body and we meditate, it helps in creating energy in the body because the energy has more room in the body.
