What is the history of Universal Children’s Day?

Universal Children’s Day focuses to create a day of international companionship and understanding between children all over the globe. This day is also marked to promote the objectives and aims of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of the Child through activities and awareness.
In 1954, the United Nations General Assembly declared Universal Children’s Day on November 20th.
This day is also the anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Both the declaration and convention protect the human rights of children.

Children’s Rights need to be protected at any cost.

Every child regardless of family, nation, gender, caste, etc. deserves a childhood in all its fullness. The child should be surrounded by protective families and communities free from violence He should have all the basic opportunities as other children do.
The period of childhood is a time in which the human being is more vulnerable because they are not fully developed physically or mentally. Any mental or physical injury decides their adulthood. Moreover, the child requires certain attention and protection.
Poverty, exploitation, and violence have risked this childhood phase of many in both developed and developing nations. The plight of children is miserable in countries that are in a state of war.
During the pandemic, a crime against children has taken a disgusting form. Exploitation reached limits Moreover Hunger and poverty made many poor children suffer. Thus it is the need of the hour that children’s rights should be protected.

The organization that has taken remarkable steps in child welfare

The day is a call for the government of all the countries to work for the welfare of children. But it is not the responsibility of states only.
There are many NGO’s around the globe working to protect children from exploitation. Let no child be deprived of the right to education.

Many children do not have the circumstances of a joyous childhood. When the parents are not able to carry the family, the children are forced to work and earn. Many have to go to work. and do not get a chance to attend schools.
Under the ‘Child Protection’ initiative, Dera Sacha Sauda strives to prevent child labor. Mass awareness campaigns are done against child labor.

Let no child struggle to survive.

In our country, poverty is a curse. There are millions of people and children who are below the poverty line. They are not able to arrange proper meals and sometimes drinkable water. In such conditions, children who are born in such families are generally malnourished and diseased. Besides Education is still a dream when the struggle to strive is a must.
Dera Sacha Sauda is doing every effort to improve the lives of such children. The volunteers build free houses for the poor, provide them shelter, clothes, and food. Free Ration is also distributed from time to time. Every effort is done by them to make the children independent.
The organization has made separate toy banks, cloth banks, and food banks at the block, district, state, and national levels. People donate their old clothes and toys here so that these can bring some smiles to the faces of these children.

How can we build a strong and independent nation?

A nation prospers when every citizen is educated and independent. If we spend our resources on providing free education to each and every child, the days are near when our country reaches heights of success.
Besides Guiding children in the right direction and building moral character is necessary. Saint Dr. MSG Insan in his holy Satsang guides children and parents with moral values that can build the high character and personality of the younger generation keeping them away from the world of various evils and crimes.

A step taken to end the crime against children.

Dera Sacha Sauda has urged people to demolish Child labor. Many people have pledged never to indulge in illicit activities like forced labor, prostitution, kidnapping, etc. Also, the volunteers try their best to protect the children. various exploitation. A great philosopher who changed millions of lives

All around the world, the discussions about the reality of life, salvation, and existence are always there since time memorial. Various philosophers gave their views on these topics. Indian Philosophy had six basic principles dhárma, karma, pramāṇa, duḥkha, saṃsāra, and mokṣa.
There are many great philosophers in history whose novel ideas and thoughts tended to lead the world in a new direction. True Saints are the ones who ignite the light of knowledge in darkness and ignorance. One such Saint is Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan aka Saint Dr.MSG who brought a revolution of selfless love, humanity, and welfare in society. His pious words made people aware of the truth of life. His holiness is the torchbearer of spiritual wisdom who enlightens people by sharing His earned wisdom with no monetary expectation.

Let brotherhood and unity prevail all over the world
Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan believes that there is only one God and we can reach Him through any religion, be it Hinduism, Islam Christianity, etc. No religion is superior but all are equal. We are not born with a specific religion; it’s our families and societies that nominate us for different religions. We all are united as God is one. His Holiness says “na Hindu bura hai, na hi Sikh isaai Islam bura hai; jo burai pe uter aye vo insan bura hai “ that means No religion is wrong to be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or isaai, but wrong is the man who commits a crime in the name of religion.
According to Saint Dr. MSG religions do no teach violence or hate. People do not follow their religion and just pretend more. If every man follows his religion with full dedication, there will be peace all over the world at the next moment.
Selfless love is the foremost step towards god
Saint Dr.MSG teaches that Selfless love is the foremost step towards god. His Holiness has given a new definition of love in the world where it is often misinterpreted as the means of fulfilling selfish wishes. Guruji in his holy discourses says that Love is God. Those who love god’s creation selflessly, God loves them. Thus one should never get involved in hate and violence. It is the selfless love that unites people from different backgrounds,
It is because of his teachings that millions of people from different backgrounds come to Dera Sacha Sauda, they all sit together and are treated equally. Dera Sacha Sauda sets an excellent example of brotherhood and unity.

We are of Shabad and Shabad is ours
Saint Dr.MSG Insan taught millions of people the true method of meditation /Naam Shabad. According to Guruji, the continuous practice of Naam Shabad helps us attain salvation living in this mortal world.
The method of Meditation is taught by a true Saint who demands no money in return, no donations in any form do not speak ill about anyone, does not alter anyone’s religion, and serves humanity selflessly. His Holiness says that as the rising sun provides warmth and light to all, snow gives exciting enthusiasm, so Naam Shabad cannot fail to create its effect, no matter who is getting in contact; pure and perfect or unassuming and arrogant one.
As milk has ghee in it, the earth has water below the surface, but until the use of the right method, it cannot be obtained. Similarly, God cannot be attained without learning Naam Shabad from a true master.

The method to achieve heavenly pleasures

Naam Shabad /method of meditation assure salvation to all no matter good or bad. Profits of Naam include the feeling of true satisfaction, power of patience & compassion. Distresses and strains flee away with the meticulous practice of Naam Shabad. The reasonable worldly wishes are approved too. The willpower and capability to make the right decisions in every field of life enhances. This happiness provides success in each and every field.

Let us remove all bad habits from within
Our bad habits and evil thoughts are an obstacle in path of salvation. Mediation provides will power to fight against our own bad habits. Thus removing the vices becomes easier with meditation and determination.

Serving mankind is the true worship

No human being should be labeled bad, only his bad habits and actions deserve criticism. If the habits have vanished, the very person is a good human being. Saint Dr.MSG Insan transformed millions of such people into spirits of humanity. His holiness instilled such a passion for humanity among these followers that they do not step behind to risk their lives for the welfare of others.
Guruji teaches compassion towards all, irrespective of caste, background, creed, and color. Women empowerment is a topic of discussion of all times for many decades. The fight for making a gender-equal world is going on in every corner of the world. Women have proven their worth by playing multiple roles in families, the economy, and society. But still, there are many areas where women are deprived of some basic rights and are forced to live a miserable and undesirable life. Many of them are not even informed of their rights.
Hence education becomes an absolute need of the hour. Providing the right education for every girl can make women empowerment reach more heights.

Conclusion

Why should we support and promote education for girls?
Though our old aged mentality and patriarchy do not support girls’ education, now the time has changed. Here are the reasons why education is important for girls.
Education is the light of knowledge in the gloom of unawareness. Knowledge is not bound to any gender or caste. It develops more it is shared.
Education opens door to more job opportunities and thus girls can also participate in family income. Moreover, more income means good nutrition and healthcare facilities for families.
Educated girls are likely to marry later. This prevents the risk of becoming mothers in the minor age group.
Educated women experience less discrimination as they are more aware of their rights and laws against gender discrimination. Thus they can stand up for themselves and fight against male-dominated society. Girls are the upcoming mothers of any society. Educated girls make sure that education is a priority for their children. When Girls are educated, communities, families, societies, and nations prosper.
Education helps women make improved judgments about hygiene, prenatal care nutrition, and immunization, all of which add to healthier children.
Education empowers young girls to think beyond the social norms, pursue their dreams of a better life, and live a life with their own decisions.
Educating the girls is crucial to bring a wind of change in the world.

What are the challenges to girls’ education?

  1. Girls face various challenges that impact their ability to get educated. Our old aged mentality and patriarchy does not care for girls’ education
  2. Poverty, low family income does not allow girls to step out for school. In financially compromised families, the education of boys is preferred over girls.
  3. Girls and women also face intensified levels of violence, physical assault, eve-teasing in schools, and society. These factors keep them away from the classroom on a routine basis.
  4. Another notable obstacle is child marriage. Girls are raised as marriage material and thus married at an early age.
  5. Child labor is another reason why girls cannot attend schools as they have to earn for their families.
  6. There are no proper transport facilities for girls in remote areas.
  7. Insufficiency of female staff and lack of security is also an obstacle in the promotion of girls’ education.

Some influential initiatives to promote the education of girls.
Implausible things happen when a girl gets the education she desires. Her life and her family’s life improve. She contributes to the economy by earning an income. Many organizations are working around the globe to promote education among girls and empower women in rural and urban areas.
Dera Sacha Sauda has been making immense efforts in the direction of women empowerment, especially about education. These activities start from protecting the womb from female feticide and takes care of the females all through their various stages of life. The campaigns launched in the last few years have been very encouraging.
Here are some Some influential initiatives are taken by the organization to promote the education of girls.

There is an elongated list of meritorious students annually from these institutions. These educational institutions established under the Shah Satnam Ji group of educational institutions are working great in every field to turn little girls into powerful women that can change society.

Shun the use of aluminum utensils and choose healthy cookware

The fully equipped urban kitchen structure is a craze in the modern era. There are electric gadgets, cookbooks on the shelves, exotic spices, glistening utensils, etc. making a luxurious and classy kitchen. Urbanization and changing lifestyle have ensured that the cheap iron kadhai is replaced by the expensive non-stick pans. The tradition of matkas has been changed with plastic bottles in refrigerators. We have replaced brass and copperware with the microwave-based ceramic wave.
But have you ever wondered is it safe and healthy to use such utensils? People in India are not much aware of the risks and are largely attracted to such utensils.

Table of Contents

1. Health and Disease Start from the kitchen.
2. The use of aluminum cookware can be dangerous.
3. Is packing in aluminum foils unsafe?
4. What is the reason to avoid nonstick utensils?
5. Let us know about storing water and food in plastic containers.
6. What should be the alternative vessel of choice?
7. Mass awareness is a must to prevent health hazards.
8. Conclusion

Health and Disease Start from the kitchen.

You may believe it or not, but our kitchen holds our health. The treatment of various diseases lies in our daily used ingredients like ajwain, tulsi, mulethi, etc.
Health depends on what we eat, how we eat, and most importantly the way the food is cooked. Cooking the food on fire makes it easily digestible and also enhances its quality.
The Vessel in which the food is cooked holds special importance. Ayurveda also describes various types of incompatibilities of food that leads to food poisoning and other disorders. One of them is Paak Virudh {incompatibility of food due to the method of cooking}. Moreover, poisoning due to metallic contamination is an unseen problem in Modern India

The use of aluminum cookware can be dangerous

In recent decades, the use of Aluminum utensils has increased a lot because of lightweight, cheapest, rust-free, and simply available. But it has been found that say aluminum utensils can be very dangerous. Especially the cooking of citric and salty food in them results in the chemical reaction that can cause accumulation of toxic in our food.
In British India, the food was served to the Indian prisoners in aluminum utensils. They used aluminum utensils because it is a slow poison and slowly affecting the kidneys and lungs because of contamination. Cooking food in aluminum vessels is way more dangerous. The aluminum oxide forms layers on the vessel’s surface. When we eat the food cooked in such vessels, the aluminum enters and gets collected inside our body.
There is a simple experiment to prove that aluminum gets mixed in food cooked. The weight of the aluminum vessel gets reduced after cooking food regularly in eight in five to six months.

Is packing in aluminum foils dangerous?

Aluminum foils are common in our households as packing materials for our food items. Do you know that most of the aluminum used for making foils is made from recycled scrap metal like auto and computer parts and other industrial waste? Thus we are exposed not only to aluminum but also to other harmful metals.
Aluminum oxide can affect the brain, damages neurons, and can cause dementia and even Alzheimer’s disease. Aluminum also reduces the effect of vitamins and minerals present in the food. It also affects the kidney and can result in renal failure. Thus wrapping foods in aluminum foil and cooking it considerably raises the leaching of aluminum into the food, so we should avoid it as much as possible!

What is the reason to avoid nonstick utensils?

Nonstick cookware have established a good place in our kitchens. This is because they have made cooking easier. Lined with Teflon, non-stick utensils have a frictionless surface that makes less food sticking to the surface. They have super easy to clean up.
But it is not always about the comforts. Do you know that a chemical named Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is used to layer non-stick Teflon pans? There are several health risks associated with PFOA such as breast cancer, liver tumor, reduced fertility, thyroid, and kidney disorders.
Teflon should not be exposed to very high temperatures. At higher temperatures, Teflon coating starts breaking down and release toxic chemicals into the air. When these toxic fumes are inhaled, it can lead to various health disorders.

Let us know about storing water and food in plastic containers

We have grown up surrounded by things made of plastic. We use plastic water bottles in our refrigerators, carry them with us outside and even our food items are packed in plastic lunchboxes. But studies have found that plastic leaches around different chemicals and toxins when heated.
When we heat food in a plastic container or served in it, the process mixes various chemicals with your food. Eating such food generates hormonal imbalance that can precede health issues like PCOD, breast cancers, colon cancer, prostrate cancers, etc. Long exposure of sunlight to plastic water bottles leads to leaching of harmful chemicals.

What should be an alternative vessel of choice?

Sometimes, it is necessary to skip the trend and pick the health. Indian culture has always promoted a healthy lifestyle. Let us get back to our roots and get alternatives.
Our ancestors used clay pots or copper and iron cookware. There is no harm in cooking in clay pots but it benefits in one or another way.
Prefer Utensils made of steel.
In the case of packing food items, prefer either cotton coth or butter paper.
Replace plastic boxes with steel boxes or glass containers.
Instead of storing water in plastic bottles in the refrigerator, use earthen pots.

Mass awareness is a must to prevent health hazards

Though most of the western countries are now stepping towards banning hazardous items in cookware, Indian people are blindly following the trends. Many people are not even aware of the hazards, so it is necessary to make people aware.
Dera Sacha Sauda is the only organization that has taken the foremost step in avoiding the use of aluminum and plastic utensils. Saint Dr.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan in his holy Satsang made people realize the drastic health hazards of using such containers. Millions of people pledged never to use them and promote the use of traditional containers. These people immediately removed aluminum utensils from their kitchens and replaced them with clay pans, steel cookers, earthen pots, and copper jugs.
Soon this awareness turned into a mass movement. The volunteers make people alert by mass campaigns and various social media platforms.

Conclusion

Let us all promote the idea of using our traditional items and saying no to modern aluminum utensils.

Children’s day 2020: What’s the real meaning of this day?

The most exciting date of the year in childhood is November 14 for many kids in schools. This is because it’s Children’s Day when elders make children feel special. Thanks to Honorable Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru on whose birth anniversary our country celebrates Children’s day.
This day is a reminder that we all have a child inside us. We all should let our innocence, enjoy the purity of life that we usually forget in our daily hush and rush.
The day also serves as the opportunity to speak up for rights for children and protect them from exploitation.

Table of Contents:

1. Childhood is the foundation of life.
2. Childhood is the age to learn and not to earn!
3. Let us give the girl child wings to fly.
4. Who took the step towards Reunion?
5. Some tips so that children can become a good human being.
6. When the innocence is converted into courage for humanity!
7. Conclusion

Childhood is the foundation of life

.
When a child is born, he knows nothing about the environment. Childhood is the age when a person has the most kind and purest heart and the heart desires only to love and care. Just as a potter shapes the pot with the utmost care, similarly childhood is the age when a child has to be shaped with utmost care. If framing is done well, the child develops into a good human being. But in case of negligence can prove to be a menace to society.
Childhood is the age when a child learns about his surroundings and society. He needs to learn a good education and moral values. At this tender age, he absorbs information given to him like a sponge. The child depends on his parents by all means. That is why it becomes the responsibility of parents to create a good environment and memories that he can cherish for a lifetime. Childhood is the golden age of life that flies away without giving any notice and never returns. A child has no worries or stress and they are free from the rudeness of worldly life. Whenever we as adults recollect our memories of childhood, it gives us a feeling of delight. It is the time we run, fall, play, and laugh.

Childhood is the age to learn and not to earn

Many children are not blessed with a joyous childhood. When the parents are not able to sustain the family, the children are forced to work as laborers. The burden to earn and survive falls on their shoulders at such a tender age. The racket of child labor is very complicated with various underlying causes like child trafficking, kidnapping, etc.
These children have to work from the roadside dhabas to big factories and hotels, deep mines with or without their will. Child Labor is a curse to the society and the country. There are many laws in the country against child labor but there is no serious implementation. There is much organization working against this curse.
Under the ‘Child Protection’ initiative, Dera Sacha Sauda followers strive to stop child labor. Mass awareness against child labor is done by the volunteers; free education and stationery are also provided to the poor children.

Let us give the girl child wings to fly

The girl child in Indian society is not adored much. There was a time when people were not scared of killing girl child in the womb. Even if the girl is born, people hesitate to spend on her education. She is prepared as a marriage material right from her childhood. Dera Sacha Sauda has done a mass campaign for women empowerment. From raising voice against female feticide to arranging free education facilities for girls, Dera volunteers have not left any opportunity. The organization promotes equal opportunities and demotes gender inequality. Dera Sacha Sauda is giving girl children the wings so that they can fly high and make the country proud.

Who took the step towards Reunion?

Crimes in the modern era have taken a vulgar form. Crimes against children have snatched their childhood away. The issue of children going missing in our country is unseen and has been rapidly increasing.
Many innocent little kids get separated from their families every day and are never found. Children are kidnapped and trafficked so that they can be made to beg on roads in metropolitan cities. Some are trafficked so that their organs like liver and kidney are illegally collected to pay for rich patients. Some are even trafficked and sold into prostitution.
Dera Sacha Sauda has done some remarkable work in reuniting missing people and children with their families. On finding unidentifiable missing persons with unhealthy states on streets, the organization conducts a full health checkup. It provides them with essential medical treatment before reuniting them with their families. The Dera also runs a toll-free helpline which has been massively effective in reuniting hundreds of individuals with their families.
Some tips so that Children can become a good human being
Children are like sunflowers, they need the right direction. Parents dream that their child will become an engineer, scientist, etc., but they forget to make their child a good human being first.
Most parents focus on the education of the materialistic world. If the child is given both spiritual and worldly education, then even the stones can be turned into diamonds.
Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan in his holy discourse gives the most wonderful parenting tips such as encouraging children for meditation and service for humanity. One should always correctly motivate the child and not making him a robot. Saint dr. MSG also guides the parents to spare some time for children and teaching them right and wrong. Guruji aims to build a strong foundation for these children.

When the innocence is converted into courage for humanity!

To inspire the youth towards working for humanity, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan came up with the idea of the teenage wing of Shah Satnam Ji Green S welfare Force. AS the name indicates, these are the teenage warriors who work for humanity selflessly. In modern times, teenage is the time when children get easily distracted by the glamorous forged world And get associated with intoxicants and bad habits. With the rush of hormones inside them, they are unable to differentiate between wrong and right.
But these teenage warriors are the ones who serve the needy and helpless in the real world, without any pressure and with their own wish. This is the best way to keep children in the right direction and build such personalities that can style a decent nation.

Conclusion

On this children’s day, let us pledge to protect the rights of children and try to keep them in the right direction.

An act of kindness can be tranquility forever

Many of us devote much of our lives chasing pleasure and peace of mind. We think that a certain amount of material, wealth, possession can make us happy. But these things are temporary pleasures and do not give peace of mind.
Chasing this temporary happiness, we go through a lot of stress and anxiety. More to that, It is very easy to get caught up in our own stress and to think we don’t have time to give to others.
But being considerate about others will provide you the real happiness. Our acts of kindness provide the inner peace that can neither be bought nor sold. It is said that kindness is spiritual and divine emotion. Scientists also claim that those who are kind suffer less from mental disorders and live longer.

Kindness benefits both – the donor and the taker

Have you ever made a blind or an old man cross the road? Have you ever wiped the tears of somebody in pain? Have you ever helped any old lady carrying a lot of bags or luggage?
Such acts not only help those who are in need but also us who perform these actions selflessly.
Kindness is a treasure that increases every time you spend it. The more you will work selflessly, the more you will enjoy inner peace.
The world is suffering from various ailments: violence, wars, attacks, etc. Amidst such a situation, altruism, cooperation, and compassion are the things much needed to make a harmonious and well-functioning society. A place where people are kind to each other help each other and live with love and peace is not just a place, it is a heavenly abode

Kindness defines the personality of a man.

A person is known by his actions. If he has the required courtesy, he can be a great friend. If he has a kind heart he can gather love from people surrounding him. Kindness in the heart can help in making relationships easy and hassle-free and can lead to increased coordination within everyone.
If we help someone who needs us, he shall never forget about us.
Being humane is very unlike being human. The one who joins someone suffering in affliction & sorrow and tries to ease one’s suffering is a true human being.

Try these acts of kindness from now

– Help the less privileged ones – Many people cannot even afford a good meal a day, do not have proper clothes to wear, and who need a permanent shelter to live. We can help these people by saving some pennies from our income and collecting them regularly.
– Donate blood – Blood donation is a lifesaving act that provides immense pleasure. Your drops of blood can save somebody’s life. We should donate blood regularly so that no one dies because of shortage of blood.

– Be considerate – Whenever you walk on roads, travel in your cars, one should be considerate about surroundings. If you encounter someone injured or someone in pain and needs help, never miss the opportunity to be kind. This is our responsibility as a part of the society we are living in.
If you see a blind, elderly or handicapped, help them cross the road.
– Animal and bird nurturing – Manage the supply of water and fodder to the stray animals. Arrange for water and seeds for the birds on rooftops.
– Making society disease-free – Contribute towards maintaining the hygiene of the public place. Help towards cleanliness of roads, hospitals, canals, drains or gutters, etc.
– Sharing the pain – If you see someone crying, ask for the problem. Sometimes people need someone to share their problem with. Lend support. Giving some time to console such people can prove to be of great help.
– Teachers can provide free tuition for the needy students
– Qualified doctors can do free consultations or medical checkups of needy patients.
– Help in the funding of Disaster Management
– Help in saving the Environment by joining tree plantation campaigns.
– Help those who raise their voice against evils and crimes in society.

The place where strive to serve matters

Many organizations are trying to make peace in the world to make it better. There are different NGOs which volunteer in providing aid to the ones who are in need. Dera Sacha Sauda is one such organization that is working day and night in organizing cleanliness campaigns, Tree Plantation Drives, Spreading Awareness about Women Empowerment, organizing blood donation campaigns, and much more. There are about 134 Humanitarian activities conducted by Dera Sacha Sauda. Volunteers feel fortunate to serve mankind. The way these people serve humanity with utmost kindness is beyond words of praise. These people have set World Records in the field of Humanity. Whenever a natural disaster hits an area, these people are the first ones to reach and provide possible aid to the victims. In the corona pandemic, these people got out of their homes and risked their lives. They sanitized cities and roads and donated blood. They distributed foods to migrants and laborers and every possible help to save humanity in this crisis.

Saints are the epitome of love, kindness, and compassion

History has witnessed that whenever the devil forces like cruelty, violence, etc. become strong in this world, Saints have given humanity their support and packed it with new power and hope. Dera Sacha Sauda Volunteers are an example of kindness and selfless service towards humanity. But such a passion is impossible without the motivation and grace of a true Saint. Saint Dr. MSG has felt the pain of dying morality. Thus with His grace, He made such warriors of humanity those who don’t even step back to sacrifice their lives to save lives of others so that the values of kindness and selfless love can live forever. Guruji himself is a true Humanitarian who initiated such activities that can benefit the whole society.

Conclusion

On this world kindness day, let us make this world a better place by being kind to each other.
