What is so special about 28th February?

In today’s world of materialism, there are millions of people who are rare examples of selfless service.
These are the people who are ready to sacrifice their everything and even their life for the sake of humanity.
The Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers are the warriors of humanity who have been taught true lessons of life by their spiritual master. Dera Sacha Sauda celebrates the day of 28 February as “Maha Rehmo Karam Diwas”. This day is special because Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was enthroned as a spiritual leader and the day is celebrated as ‘Great Benevolence’. Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj laid the foundation of the socio-spiritual organization – Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa, Haryana in April 1948. His holiness passed on the Spiritual legacy to the second master – Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj on 28th February 1960. With pious benevolence, millions can live their life happily and peacefully.

The divine congregation ceremony was celebrated with extreme enthusiasm. The whole environment got echoed with the slogan ” Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra”. On 28 February 1960, the royal stage was specially decorated as commanded by the Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. Sai Ji in his divine voice stated that ” Satnam” – the holy name people kept reciting throughout their lives but no one could picture Satnam. This is the same Satnam, pointing towards His Holiness Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj, ” on whose sole support this universe stands”.

Shah Mastana Ji presented the world the supreme power in form of Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj.

International Mother Language Day 2021

There are several languages spoken around the world, everybody uses their language to express their emotions better, and people learned knowledge about life & life ways in local languages from the very first time. But in this current era, some languages are losing their identity & they are endangered. Only a few languages are getting the identity at the world level. The big hindrance is cultural diversity. If we want inclusion of the entire world then multilingualism should be promoted. Our country India is proud to have multiple languages in one country itself.
Mother language plays a vital role in our lives; it is the only language in which we learned to speak at our homes, and what it represents us. International Mother Language Day is observed every year on February 21st to celebrate the honor & protect mother language across the world. The day promotes multilingualism & linguistic diversity.

History

Initially, Bangladesh (East Pakistan in past) was the country that started the language-based movement in past for their mother language Bengali and got momentum for it on February 21st. UNESCO has been inspired by this movement & in November 1999, UN assembly meeting was held for approval of this day, It is celebrated around the world since 2000 after approval by UNESCO General Conference to focus on multilingualism.

Theme

The theme of the day this year is, “Fostering multilingualism for inclusion in education and society “. It focuses to include the mother tongue both at schools and in everyday life as several world’s inhabitants don’t have access to education in the language they speak since Childhood. As in most countries, English is the language which is added in the course of studies from starting, instead of adding their local language, because of it the large percentage of languages are losing their identity. So, UNESCO wants to pay attention to the use of multilingual courses of studies from early childhood.

Significance

As we see in our modern society, speaking English is trendy for everyone. And English speaking becomes a status symbol. A person doesn’t want to speak in their mother tongue. And UNESCO is making policies to promote & preserve the local language so that the Local language has not become dwarf in front of the English language. And if the local language will become political & study course language then it will get value in society. And this day is celebrated to spread awareness regarding our mother tongue.
This is the time when people can’t survive in society with one language, one can become multilingual but they should not forget their mother language in which they have started to speak at the very first time. So, we should give value to our mother language more than other languages.
Our mother language is showing our socio-cultural identity to others and our mother language is not only a way of our communication but it also connects us to our heritage. So we should show our respect to our mother language.

Conclusion

Linguistic diversity has been the major pillars of our society, and the mother language is the foundation of learning, around 43% of people didn’t get a chance to study in their mother language, so they didn’t understand things properly in other languages, and they failed to express their emotions properly in other languages. The benevolence of a true saint on humanity is boundless. The Month of February is a historic month

The 28th of February, the blessed day when the whole of mankind is indebted to His Highness, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. A moment, which gave us a true messiah of humanity, the souls have found their owner in His holiness Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj. It was the day in 1960 when Shah Mastana Ji bestowed the power of both the realms to Shah Satnam JI Maharaj by making him successor and 2nd Master of Dera Sacha Sauda. Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was declared Beparwah Mastana Ji Maharaj’s successor, by Sai Ji Himself, and was bestowed the treasures of spirituality. The devotees got a true mentor, guide, father, mother, and everything.

The entire environment was lit up with immense happiness. There was no end to the divine happiness that Master presented to his devotees. Every soul was drenched in divine blessings.
A procession was drawn in every street and colony of Sirsa city. Everyone was made aware of the holy declaration. His Holiness Sai Ji ordered the devotees present in the function to join the procession. The entire atmosphere of the city became musical with melodious tunes of bands and the holy slogan ” Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra.” When the glorious procession came back to Dera, Sai Ji himself stood on the main door to welcome His Successor, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj. His Holiness Sai Ji stated that Sardar Satnam Singh Ji has been converted from a sacred Soul to God-Himself”.

The bond between Shah Mastana Ji and Shah Satnam Ji was extremely amiable and delightful to witness.
From the very first day, His Holiness Beparwah Sai Ji gave special attention to the Param Pita Ji and tested Him at every step.
His Holiness Beparwah Ji ordered the Param Pita Ji to demolish his house of Sri Jalalana Sahib and bring all the material to Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa. On getting the pious command, Param Pita Ji demolished his mansion with his own hands and loaded all the things of His house and debris of the demolished house, each brick, even small gravel in trucks and trolleys and brought to Dera Sacha Sauda.
As per instructions of Shah Mastana Ji: Param Pita Ji Himself guarded all the material brought. It was winter season and a bitterly cold and drizzling night.
The next day, His Holiness Beparwah Ji ordered Shah Satnam Ji to distribute his own belongings in a spiritual congregation. Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj got all the materials including the motorcycle distributed by the Param Pita Ji among the devotees.
Such a sacrifice towards Spiritual Guru gave goosebumps to everyone. Shah Satnam Ji presented a true example of love towards His Guru.

True Saints are owners of infinite mercy.

Shah Satnam Singh Ji blessed method of meditation to lakhs of people for over 27 years, from 1963 to 1990. Devotees consider themselves indebted to him for his selfless love and kindness.
His Holiness held holy Satsangs across 2250 villages and many cities of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. He also showered unforgettable blessings and moments of love upon everyone. Param Pita Ji wrote many holy books and devotional songs for benefit of mankind.
Shah Satnam Ji connected lakhs of souls with a true love of God which is incomparable, beyond infinity. The three basic principles of Dera Sacha Sauda were taught to followers.

The early life of His Holiness in the quest of True spiritual master

His holiness was born in the Sindhu family on 25th January 1919, He was the sole child in His family to Mother Aas Kaur Ji & father Shri Wareyam Singh Ji who was the Nambardar of Jalalana Sahib village. His holiness earlier name is Sardar Harbans Singh. His Holiness was curious about God since childhood and in the desire to get Salvation at early age met several people who had taught Him the way to connect with God. But He was not satisfied with anyone. His holiness search was ended for the true spiritual master when He attended the spiritual discourse of Sai Shah Mastana Ji who is the founder of Dera Sacha Sauda. His holiness realized that Sai Ji is the True Spiritual master after attending the first spiritual discourse of Sai Ji.

The Holy day of making the leader of ‘Zindaram’ (leader of spirituality)

After following Shah Mastana Ji’s teaching for consecutive three years, His holiness showed interest to take ‘Naam Shabad’ Or method of meditation but He was always declined for same by Sai Ji by saying that “When right Time arrives, I will call you by my own, and bless you with Naam Shabad & till the time the negative energy will not harm you in any manner, you can keep attending the Satsang.”

And the day came on 14th March 1954 when Shah Mastana Ji conducted Spiritual discourse at village Ghukeyanwali near to Sirsa and asked His Holiness “Come inside & Sit near to chair” Today’s the order from Supreme Power has come to teach you Naam ( meditation). And on that day Sai Ji entrust the special responsibility on Him & made His Holiness a leader of ‘Zindaram’ (spirituality) who will shower the divine blessing of Naam on the world.

The secret of ‘Shah Satnam Ji’ revealed to the world By Sai Mastana Ji

Sai Shah Mastana Ji already chosen His successor, but the time arrived when He has to reveal this secret to the world.
On 28th February 1960, Sai Shah Mastana Ji declared to all that I have tested His Holiness in every manner & He has passed every test, So Sai Ji has made His Holiness the second successor of Dera Sacha Sauda in front of massive public gathering, and also carried a mass procession in the streets of Sirsa to aware the people about the Spiritual head of Dera Sacha Sauda. And from that day He made His Holiness from normal person to supreme being.
Sai Ji changed the name of His Holiness & given them the name of “Shah Satnam Ji”, ‘Satnam’ is the power which controls the universe, and due to which the World exists. And Sai Ji also declared that who will see the glimpse of Satnam & utters the name of Satnam then they will never go to hell. Those who will receive the Naam from His Holiness will never go in the cycle of birth & death again.

His Holiness bestowed ‘Naam Shabad’ to lakhs of people

After Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj left this mortal world, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj started expanding Dera Sacha Sauda ashram more which was founded by Sai Mastana Ji. And one more ashram in Barnawa (Uttar Pradesh) was built by His Holiness. His Holiness started giving Naam Shabad in 1963 after 3 years of getting divine throne & continued this divine process till 1990.
His Holiness through His divine life established several Ashrams at different places in north India. Guru Ji has written more than 20 holy books and 1500 hymns to impart the spiritual knowledge to masses in a simple way.
His Holiness held spiritual discourses by visiting 2250 villages & many cities of Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh to bestow the Naam to every seeker & in total, His Holiness bestowed the Naam Shabad to 11,08,429 souls. And showed them the path of Good-Realization & the way to get salvation which is the ultimate goal of every human being.

Shah Satnam Ji ascending the divine throne of socio-spiritual organization

Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj after completion of 27 years & 4 months of serving humanity & spreading feelings of brotherhood & love in each other, thought to handover the throne to a deserving successor, So His Holiness asked all to search about the next successor of Dera Sacha Sauda from the fellow disciples of them.
Finally, His Holiness chosen the name of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan for the successor. The formal ceremony was held on 23rd September 1990 and a great procession was held like earlier Shah Mastana Ji declared to Shah Satnam Ji. His Holiness passed His spiritual wealth to His successor, who is performing His duty successfully by serving humanity selflessly & always pouring love & divinity on His disciples, after successfully handed over the throne of DSS, Shah Satnam Ji left for heavenly abode on 13th December 1991.

• Helping the accident victims. Often, many accident victims lose their lives on the roadside because no one comes forward to help them. If you come across such a case, call the ambulance or help provide first aid to the accident victims. There is no better deed than saving a life.

• Save Animals and Birds. It is not just the humans that need our help, the animals and birds too need our support. One can keep water and feed for both, birds as well as stray animals on designated places, so that these voiceless animals too can fill their stomachs. In case you find a sick or injured animal, try to help provide first aid to them.
Remember, every time you help someone, the well of your fortune gets filled. And the more good deeds you do, the more brownie points you earn.

His Holiness Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj incarnated on January 25, 1919, in the village of Sri Jalalana sahib in Haryana. His Holiness was the sole child of Father Shri Wareyam Singh Ji and Mother Aas Kaur Ji.
Since childhood, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was in love with God and was very compassionate and sympathetic towards mankind.
