Save the precious resources to sustain future

Our smooth functioning lives turn into a nightmare, whenever there is an electricity cut or water shortage. Both of these are important points not only for a comfortable life but also for our survival. Regular activities like drinking, bathing, cooking, etc. require both water and energy. Now imagine the situation when the availability of both these resources – water and electricity is in shortage, it can lead to war. It is also assumed that the next world war could be due to water. Hence it is an urgent need for us to be aware and considerate about the conservation of water and other resources. We owe these resources to our future generations as we have inherited them from our ancestors.

The increasing population has become a burden on natural resources.

Humans have blindly exploited natural resources for their own never-ending desires and greed. A continuous rise in population density triggers a scarcity of limited resources. Such exploitation might result in the non-availability of natural resources in the future. We need to conserve water because by conserving water, we not only save water but also save energy because to make water fit for drinking and other uses, a lot of electrical energy is needed to filter, heat, and pump the water to homes. Producing electricity itself requires a lot of nonrenewable fuels and resources. Thus saving water and electricity goes hand in hand.

The organization that pulls out all the stops to conserve natural resources.

Around the world, a lot of conferences, seminars, meetings, etc. are held at national and international levels regarding the conservation of natural resources. But there is a lot of difference in protocols sanctioned and implemented. There are a lot of organizations working to make people aware of water conservation.
Dera Sacha Sauda is an organization that pulls out all the stops when it comes to saving the planet. The organization under the pious guidance of head, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has put some very impressive steps forward. These actions have made millions aware of the wise utilization of water and energy.
The organization has led various initiatives towards environmental protection one of which is towards conserving water and energy. So let us know more about this initiative.

Some quality tips to save water in in day to day life.

Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan in his holy congregations, has guided millions of people towards water conservation. Guruji launched various campaigns involving huge masses and various useful projects. Saint Dr. MSG has given various tips that prove very effective as the devotees follow them as holy orders in their routine lives.
Dera Sacha Sauda believes in implementation and actions rather than long debates and lectures.
Here are the tips by Guruji to save water.
Reuse the Water After Bath
We waste a lot of water while taking showers or taking baths. Saint Dr. MSG has suggested a way to reuse this water and is very economical and beneficial.

  1. Dig a pit where water from the bathroom is to be drained.
  2. Fill this pit with some concrete, stones, then make a layer of gravel within it and at last spread a layer of sand.
  3. Finally a place is prepared to collect water within it.
  4. Use filters under drainage in the bathroom so that the water gets filtered when it goes through it.
  5. This filtered water can be used surely in your kitchen garden.
    Use cups/containers to brush teeth
While we brush our teeth, Most of us keep the tap open. Ultimately, we waste a lot of water in seconds. Collectively, many liters of water are wasted in the mornings. Saint Dr. MSG awakens masses and urges them to use a mug while instead of directly using water from the tap.

Millions of people have pledged to conserve water.

Guruji has made millions of people to pledge that they will do their every bit to conserve water. They will not waste it unnecessarily. Volunteers have taken pledge and they also make other people aware of the same.

A unique irrigation system installed by His holiness.

Although the drip system in farming is a popular and conservative technique. But Saint Dr. MSG in Dera Sacha Sauda has developed a unique water conservation method under which rainwater is collected in a tank. From this tank, a unique drip system is installed and fields are irrigated. This wonderful system can conserve quintals of water.

Let’s pledge to plant trees as much as possible.

Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers, inspired by Saint Dr. MSG plant millions of trees in a year. Under the initiative nature campaign, volunteers plant trees whenever possible and whenever they find an opportunity. Trees prevent surface run-off of water, help in precipitation, and also prevent all types of pollution. Dera volunteers promote reforestation, contributing their bit towards saving the Earth.

Cut off the use of energy

– Unplug the electrical appliances when not in use specially mobile charger which many times is left in plug.

– Use energy saving devices wherever possible.

Promoting the use of renewable sources of energy.

Installation of Solar panel

Saint Dr. MSG being a nature lover, emphasizes on using renewable source of energy such as solar energy. Solar panels have been installed in the large area on the sheds of Dera Sacha Sauda. These solar panels save a lot of water and energy required to produce electricity.

Biogas plant in Dera Sacha Sauda

Biogas is an eco-friendly source of energy. Set up of biogas plants in urban and rural areas reduces pollution and is also sustainable.
A huge biogas Plant is built on the premises of Dera Sacha Sauda. Human and animal waste is collected in a storage which is then utilized to produce Gas, that is used to produce electricity. Guruji in his movie, Jattu Engineer has given a message about the benefits of Biogas plants in rural and urban areas.

Gift of true life to mentally unstable lost people

In our day-to-day lives, we encounter various types of people roaming on road. Most of them are unknown and strangers. There are many mentally ill persons roaming on the streets, public places, railway stations, etc., especially in metro cities. People hardly pay any attention to them and they are usually the victims of society’s brutality. Some anti-social elements make these people things of their fun, tease them and even beat them.

Table of Contents:

  1. The pain and sufferings of thousands have always been neglected in society.
  2. The organization that took the initiative to pay attention and care.
  3. Hundreds of people have been rehabilitated to date.
  4. An incident that can awake the world.
  5. Some extraordinary examples of huminatarianism.
  6. What inspires millions to do such acts of heroism in their ordinary lives?
  7. Conclusion

The pain and sufferings of thousands have always been neglected in society.

According to the statistics, there are about 2 million mentally ill people in the country, and eighty percent of them do not have access to proper treatment. Many of them are abandoned by their own family members for being a burden and Many families are still in search of their loved ones.
These mentally challenged people who roam on the streets and are homeless are vulnerable to exploitation especially women. There are many incidents of rape, sexual assault, and abuse of such women. These people are teased and are taken advantage of. Moreover, the fact is that nobody ever cares in society whether they live or die and are treated as if never existed.

The organization that took the initiative to pay attention and care.

Dera Sacha Sauda is an organization of millions that works day and night for the betterment of society. This family has accepted every part of society wholeheartedly and improved it to its core. It aims to make the world a better place to live for every person of any background.
Under the guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan who is the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, this organization has taken the initiative called True life. This is one of the pearls in the garland of numerous welfare works done by Dera Sacha Sauda. Under this initiative, the volunteers take the responsibility of mentally ill persons they find on roads and streets, look after them and reunite them to their families.
Dera Sacha Sauda also started a toll-free number to contact if anyone spots a mentally ill person roaming on roads or public places.

Hundreds of people have been rehabilitated to date.

There are thousands of examples where volunteers have rehabilitated mentally challenged people found on roads.
When volunteers encounter such a person in their respective places, they contact the state authorities. After taking proper permissions, the volunteers bring that person in their block namcharcha Ghar { a common house }. The volunteers take care of that person as their own family member. They feed that person, cut nails, make him a bath, change clothes and look after him as a child.
After making him feel comfortable and loved for some days, the volunteers inquire about his family and home. The volunteers then contact their families. After completing all legal formalities, the volunteers even travel miles to ensure that the person reached his home and met his family. Such heroic acts require a lot of patience and compassion. According to these Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers, they perform these selfless works as a duty towards the community as told to them by their master, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.

An incident that can awake the world.

Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan is the torchbearer of selflessness and humanity. Guruji himself performs good deeds and motivates others to do the same.

Once Revered Guruji was traveling to Kolayat Ashram from Kripa Sagar Ashram when he found a mentally retarded person sitting on the road. On seeing his pitiable condition, Guruji bestowed his grace on him and asked the volunteers to properly take care of that man. Yadvindra Sharma, one of the volunteers took responsibility for the man after getting official permission from the state police. The person was admitted to Shah Satnam Ji Speciality Hospital and got his senses back In a couple of days. The volunteers found his family who was finding him for a long and never knew about his mental state. The family expressed a lot of gratitude towards Guruji for returning their lost loved one safe and healthy.

Some extraordinary examples of humanity.

Volunteers from Karnal looked after the Mentally retarded and returned him to his family.

Recently in August 2020, DSS volunteers in Karnal, Haryana found a naked man, hungry and in a miserable condition. Following the holy teachings of their true spiritual master, the volunteers took his full responsibility. They fed him and dressed him. It was later found that the person belonged to Uttar Pradesh and after proper investigation and care, the victim was handed to his family.

The victim lost on borders of Bangladesh found in Sangrur, Punjab

In March 2020, volunteers of Sangrur, Punjab found a young mentally challenged boy in an unconscious state. Along with the local pingalawada ashram of the city, volunteers aided him and found his parents. The parents were immensely happy and emotional at the moment as they were searching for their son Piyush for so long.

A similar incident happened in Abohar, Punjab in July 2019 where such a person was reunited with his family.

There are hundreds of such heroic acts done by Dera Sacha Sauda for a decade. The happiness and gratitude the families express after reuniting with their lost member are beyond words.

What inspires millions to do such acts of heroism in their ordinary lives?

Such acts of courage surely give goosebumps to the readers as it is rare to find people who care for strangers in today’s time. These volunteers treat these strangers as their own family for the period knowing they will hardly get any chance to meet them again. Such selflessness and passion for humanity can only be instilled by a true master. It has become possible by the pious teachings of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan that millions of people today are performing 134 welfare works. In return, they demand no praise or attention and nothing but the true grace of their Guru that provides them with immense internal pleasures.

Conclusion

Let us all gather some courage and do our every bit to make this world a better place to live. Let us support and participate in such welfare activities.

Disaster relief operations that helped saved lakhs of lives

Nature, a magnificent beauty that leaves us in the awe of the charm it bestows. Basking in the glory of beautiful forests, waterfalls, incredible canyons, lakes, colorful flowers, and artful ice structures is where one can find many people attracted. The other side of Nature is very ugly side. This side is a destructive force that can create havoc in life forms by moving mountains, shaking the landscapes, and making waters move on land and settlements.

Table of contents:

  1. Disasters create a haphazard in human and animal life.
  2. A team of Rescuers which is always at the forefront.

Disasters create a haphazard in human and animal life

A Natural disaster is an unforeseen occurrence of an event that creates harm to all life forms. Earthquakes, tsunamis, cyclones, floods, etc. are the ugliest sides of nature when humans have no control over destruction. Growing industrialization and unjustified exploitation of natural resources have exaggerated the amount of damage in previous decades.
Wherever a natural or man-made disaster occurs, there is non-reversible damage to plant and animal life. In a short span of time, hundreds of families get destroyed. There is no end to the sufferings of people as well as animals when a disaster strikes their settled lives.

A team of Rescuers is always at the forefront.

There is always the need for individuals to save the ones whose lives are in danger in disaster prone areas. The injured people need someone to heal and console them. Providing relief in such times is a noble act of humanity.
Dera Sacha Sauda is an organization of selfless and fearless volunteers. Under the pious guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan who is th chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, a team was constituted as a specialized disaster relief and welfare team. Since its foundation, it has been on the forefront at any time of unfortunate calamities that calls for humanitarian needs. Always, at the time of the disaster, the force has acted as a guardian angel for the victims.
Major relief operations by the team
Numbering nearly 100,000, this unique force is included with qualified engineers, experienced Doctors, paramedics, trained rescuers, masons, electricians, reconstruction workers, and people of various trades needed in humanitarian aid missions. Annual training is also conducted for members of this welfare team for disaster management.

Volunteers turned life-saving angels in Giant Tsunami

The whole of South Asia was shaken by a disastrous Tsunami on Dec 26, 2004. The disaster inflicted heavy loss of life and property. Under instructions of Guruji, teams of trained volunteers were sent to the tsunami struck areas. The volunteers did whatever they could do to help people rebuild their lives. While the aftershocks were still frequent in some areas, it was a challenge to distribute aid materials while traversing the restless sea using small boats. A little carelessness was equal to death. But the fearlessness and extreme devotedness made their mission successful. The team stayed there for 55 days on the island where only some jawans of the Indian army were there.

The Giant Tsunami and The Aftermath

The grit of volunteers made the river to turn its route.

Dera Sacha Sauda has provided immediate relief whenever floods struck areas of Haryana and Punjab. When areas of Firozabad-Sirsa experienced massive floods due to disturbance in Ghaggar River then the team stood there like a safety wall. They created a D-typed dam of 500 -550 meters and receded the water. Volunteers arranged tractors, trolleys, JCB as well as meals for them. When the breach in Tangri River affected the Ambala city and nearby villages then these volunteers engaged themselves in saving others’ lives at the risk of their own. They aided the victims in coming out of the flood and rehabilitate them at safe places. Also, They arranged medicines for the needy ones and fodder for the animals.

Relief operations at times of Earthquake.

The memory of the terrible earthquake that struck Gujarat on January 26, 2000, is vividly etched in the minds of the Indians. Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan stepped ahead with his team of volunteers to console and heal, and reassure the lives of the survivors. Thus a scientific survey was done followed by a systematic aid operation. The ration depots were set up, thousands of tents were erected and over one lakh blankets were distributed in more than 40 villages. Dera Sacha Sauda adopted 42 villages in Rapar tehsil where people were earlier housed in tents. Earthquake-prone buildings were built. Villages like Sahi Kalyan Nagar and Partapgarh were recreated from the scratch.

The Nepal Earthquake

In May 2015 , when a massive earthquake of magnitude of 7.8 on Richard Scale hit Nepal districts of Nowakot, Guruji himself lend the helping hand to the victims by reaching the site. Revered Guruji went door to door inquiring well-being of the victims. Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers reconstructed the villages, distributed relief materials and provided treatment to the injured.

The saviors in landslides and floods.

In 2014, Landslides and floods have devastated hundreds of villages in the capital Srinagar, and districts of Kulgam and Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dera’s mobile hospital called ‘Farishta’ that can aid as an ICU, Operation theatre, and an obstetric unit also provided its services in the affected regions. Volunteers donated 57 units of blood to aid the victims. A specialized team of doctors and paramedic staff was also sent to the areas. The packaging of rations was also distributed. By supporting Army Jawans, volunteers did everything possible under the guidance of Guruji.

Providing Relief In Guptkashi, Kedarnath

This Relief Team under guidance of Guruji Assembled at Guptkashi Traversing Impassable and difficult Routes. The grace of Guruji Simplified the terrific routes and their courage made 33 trucks loaded with relief materials reach the site. The volunteers distributed the relief items in Kedarnath, Devali, Banigram, Fegu, Ravari, Barmari, Ghanasu, Sitapur , Tilwara, Lamgori Chandarpuri, Behri, Vijaynagar, Asatmuni, Gourikund, Sidhsodh, Jakholi, Kirora, Taat, Kurcholla, and 35 other villages of District Rudraprayag.

The team carried a project of rehabilitation after Massive Cyclones.

In 1999, many areas in the state of Orissa were hit by a massive cyclone. During that calamity, the Revered Saint Dr. MSG sent 26,000 quintals of food and other relief material to Bhuvaneshwar from Sirsa through a special train. Hundreds of Dera volunteers traveled to Orissa with the rations and distributed door-to-door and ensured that every person in need had adequate food and necessary relief material.

Guardian Angels for the people stuck in droughts.

In April 2001, the organization Dera Sacha Sauda supplied water to the drought-affected areas of Udaipur, Churu, and Barmer districts using tankers. The Dera volunteers also provided villages with 1,00000 quintals of animal fodder, 30,000 quintals of wheat, about 500 quintals of corn seeds, and 100 trucks filled with clothes and other necessities inspired by His Holiness Saint Dr. MSG.

The fire was extinguished in the city of Darjeeling.

In April 2012 , volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda prevented the burning of City Of Darjeeling when ghastly fire started engulfing some shops and hotels. Their valiant quick actions saved the entire city from massive destruction. The fire started with the cylinder blast and could result into large damage . The indefatigable warriors had fought the blaze since 2 am in the morning till the forenoon to save the city.

This team also carries hundreds of welfare works.

Not only disaster management, the volunteers have been contributing to the community by doing 134 humanitarian works. This team participates in tree plantation, blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns, etc. inspired by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. Salute to the volunteers and their source of inspiration who work round the year selflessly to serve humanity.
