  • Bone deformities
  • Problems in the liver, heart, kidney, etc.

Blood requirement for thalassemia patients

Over one lakh thalassemia patients across the country die before they turn 20 due to lack of access to treatment or shortage of blood. There is no other alternative for human blood. The major thalassemia patients require 8-12 blood transfusions a year.

Benefits of blood donation

Blood donation is a beneficial job.

The Spiritual Masters of Dera Sacha Sauda

The foundation of Dera Sacha Sauda was laid by Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj in 1948 (on this day of 29th April) who is the first spiritual master of the organisation. The second spiritual master is Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj who guided the world from 1963 to 1990 followed by which third and present spiritual master, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan is guiding the world to serve mankind selflessly.

Meditation- The true method to attain salvation

The true method of meditation provided by the spiritual leaders of Dera Sacha Sauda has guided millions to live happily and to attain salvation. It has proved as the tonic via which millions of people across the world are living a blessed life. They all follow the three basic principles: to never consume eggs/non-veg, to never consume liquor or intoxicant, to respect relations and have good moral character.

The Journey of the family consisting of 65 million people

The journey of Dera Sacha Sauda started with a few people and with every passing day, month and year, more and more people joined this family and it grew bigger and today, this family has more than 65 million members who are all dedicated to humanity and are actively involved in the welfare works worldwide, be it serving nature like tree plantation; serving animals and birds like feeding them or providing them with medical care; helping the fellow human beings like blood donation or donating food, clothes or making homes for the homeless, to name a few among many others.

134 Welfare works being done by the single organisation

The welfare works started by Dera Sacha Sauda have reached a great number of 134 and millions of people are doing them regularly. Every single welfare work is aimed at serving the creation of God in one way or another. These welfare works include: tree plantation, cleanliness campaigns, blood donation, annual eye camp, voluntary eye donation posthumously, and many others. The most exciting and interesting part here is that all the welfare works mentioned in the previous line has been done at such a mass level that they got recorded as world records. They are doing blood donation for the needy people specially those who need blood transfusion regularly like patients of thalassemia, severe anemia, etc. and are also fulfilling the shortage of blood arisen due to the ongoing lockdown which has restricted the movement of people. They are doing it while following the guidelines of the government.

The lamp of welfare is lighting up the entire world

The ignition of serving mankind is not restricted to India but this light has reached across the nations where the volunteers do many welfare works selflessly including blood donation, cleanliness campaigns, tree plantation, etc.

Unique jaw-dropping initiatives by Dera Sacha Sauda

Tribal upliftment: Under this initiative, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has worked tirelessly for the upliftment of tribal people in Chattisgarh and taught them to live in a civilized way. The children were educated; the people were taught farming, welding, and various other skills via which they can earn their livelihood. They began to start their families via proper marriage ritual. Since 2005-2017, 1629 marriages of tribal communities have been conducted at Dera Sacha Sauda.

Sukhdua Samaj: The third gender was not having any legal recognition and they were being called by various disrespectful names. The Dera Sacha Sauda played a notable role in providing them equal status as other people and Guru Ji Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan changed their name to Sukhdua Samaj as these people always pray for the welfare of others. This community is provided with equal educational rights and is treated with same respect at Dera Sacha Sauda. To save children from any kind of harassment, they are provided with free accommodation at the Ashram premises.

Initiatives by Dera Sacha Sauda for the upliftment of women

Earth Day- significance and how should we celebrate it?

Every year on 22nd April, Earth Day is celebrated in the world to instill awareness among masses to care about mother earth.

Table of contents:

1. History of Earth Day
2. Significance of Earth Day
3. How Earth Day should be celebrated?
4. The theme of Earth Day

History of Earth Day

This day was firstly acknowledged in 1970 on the same day when many countries were in the race to make their empire through an industrial revolution. Nobody could think that this development is ruining the precious gift of nature, day after day the air quality and atmosphere was getting worse by pollution. This journey was initiated with the concerns of Senator Gaylord Nelson who gave the concept to guide the youngsters in colleges about the emerging environmental problems. Afterward, many other minds joined this movement, and today this day is celebrated with several activities in the whole world as 193 nations participate in it.

Significance of Earth Day

Earth Day is entirely focused on the care of our planet because of its worsening plight. Every part of its sphere has got polluted just because of human actions. The time is demanding for some action that can be taken for the protection of the earth. Today’s main concern is climate change due to which the whole world is facing a shift in climatic conditions. Pollution has created such a huge amount of toxins and carbon in our atmosphere that the Greenhouse effect is severely active and giving birth to many natural calamities which are only meant for the end of life. Besides, the period of seasons is also changed which has marked the beginning of disastrous consequences. The span of summers is increased in comparison to winters and this warm weather is leading to the disappearance of several entities from the surface of nature as well as causing various problems for humans.
So, in these hours, everybody should be aware of some sort of actions which can control the situation. At least people can control their activities which can cause an increase in prevailed pollution. Hence, many countries are taking such actions which are necessary to tackle this situation.

How Earth Day should be celebrated?

Now the question arises that what type of celebration should take place on this day? What type of steps should be taken to make the earth a livable place like the initial days?
● Afforestation is the first and foremost ways to deal with the present condition but there are several other things which one can adopt in one’s lifestyle which can make a difference.
● We should save water and energy as much as we can because these two elements are the basis of our life.
● Try to switch off the appliances when not in use.
● Your water faucets should not be leaked and use water carefully and stop wasting water.
● Your clean surroundings can also help to handle the situation so make it clean with the use of bins.
● Use eco-friendly products that are not causing any hazard for life.
There are several products which are given by mother earth to us; use them carefully and try to find alternatives for them. Decrease the paper use as well as energy appliances for the works which can be done without them. Like Nelson, we should also involve children in all these activities so that they should feel the responsibility towards nature. Earth Day date was founded just with the thought to preserve nature and make it a pleasant place for living. So one should do every possible action which can be meant for earth protection like small distances can be covered by foot, be habitual to walk and save energy for the future.

The theme of Earth day

As I already mentioned that this time is observing a climatic change so to deal with upcoming situations, people should be aware and active to save the planet which has given us life. Today due to COVID-19, this celebration will be taken place from home so go green and live green motto can be practiced at home and the new generation will also be a participant if every household will understand their duty towards nature. So today earth Day will be at home because social distancing is important.

World Health Day 2020: Tips to stay healthy

Throughout the year, there are many such days that the whole world celebrates together. Today is a day related to our health, World Health Day. Today we will talk about World Health Day and know-how this day started, what is the significance, why is this day celebrated!

Table of Contents:

  1. World Health Day
  2. Take care of your health with these tips
  3. If you want to keep your body healthy, do not forget all this

World Health Day

The World Health Organization was established on 7th April 1948. World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7 April to mark its anniversary. The whole world works together to spread awareness of the issues related to health. The first world health day was celebrated in the year 1950.

On the occasion of World Health Day on 7 April, government and non-government organizations including health organizations organize many programs. On this special occasion, special health camps are organized in many places, where the checkup of people is done for free. Not only this, but street plays are also organized and art exhibitions are also organized in many places to spread awareness among people towards health.

The aim of establishing the World Health Organization is to raise the level of health of people around the world. Every year a new topic is chosen keeping in mind the global public health issues.

Take care of your health with these tips

World Health Day has been celebrated for 71 years. Its ultimate aim is to alert you towards your physical health. There is a saying that “a healthy mind resides in a healthy body”, therefore, keeping your body healthy is also very important for your mental health. To be healthy in your life, it is not only a gym, yoga, exercise, and sports but it is necessary to rein in the things related to eating and drinking.

It is also said that a 70 percent healthy body is always maintained by a good diet.  The remaining 30 percent is also from yoga, exercise, and gym.

  1. Start your day by drinking 2-3 glasses of water. After waking up in the morning, drink at least half a liter of water. Water accelerates your metabolism. The same water hydrates your body and excretes all harmful toxins through feces and urine. Doing all this daily makes your mind feel relaxed.
  2. Take some time in your daily life and do exercise every day. Doing gym, yoga, exercise, or doing the half-an-hour walk in the morning also benefits your health.
  3. Have a healthy breakfast in the morning.  A lot of protein and fat should be taken at breakfast. Do not stay hungry for long. You should definitely eat and drink at a maximum of 4 hours but eat good food regularly.
  4. Rest or sleep is also necessary for good health. Get at least 7-9 hours of sleep daily.  Good sleep is also very important for your mental health; because only when your mind is calm, your body will also be healthy.
  5. The body also needs vitamin-D. You get Vitamin-D only from the rays of the sun. So stay in the sun for at least half an hour every day. Do this in the morning in summer.
  6. Eat more green tea than normal tea. Green tea helps in accelerating your metabolism and also burns fat. It is good for health.
  7. Eat dry fruit in winter. By the way, you can eat dry fruits in any season because they are high in fat and they are full of nutrition and health. Dry fruits contain magnesium, vitamin E, fiber and many other nutrients which keep your body healthy.

If you want to keep your body healthy, do not forget all this

  1. If you want to keep your body healthy, then avoid consuming tobacco and alcohol. Alcohol and drugs are not only detrimental to health, but they also affect the level of sugar in our body and the sleep cycle which can cause you to have diabetes and other diseases.
  2. Stay away from drinking large amounts of carbonated drinks i.e. any type of cold drink. Instead of carbonated drinks, you should consume fresh juice, fruits, and vegetables.  By doing this, you will be in a good health.
  3. Consume junk food to a minimum. Processed junk food contains very little fiber, protein, and micronutrients and they are full of such elements, which can make you sick. Stay away from junk foods.
  4. Do not take too many pain killers, if it is to be taken then take it on the advice of the doctor. Excessive intake of pain-reducing medicines carries the risk of ulcers, abdominal pain, high blood pressure, and heart attack. Such medicines relax you for some time. But excessive consumption of these is a feast of dangerous diseases in the future.
  5. A healthy breakfast in the morning is the most important meal of the day. Not having breakfast makes it difficult to remember things, can cause hormonal imbalance, which soon deteriorates your mood. Also, metabolism is slow if you do not have breakfast. That is why your weight increases and the body becomes lethargic.

The Saint whose Benevolence brought happiness in the lives of millions

Life is a set of positives and negatives, smiles and cries, adventure and usual. Everyone wants to spend their life enjoying to the fullest by having the best experiences. However, the definition of happiness and sadness varies from person to person. But mostly, people want to invest their time and money on themselves for a happily ever after. Then there are some rare people, who derive happiness by not focusing on themselves, but by addressing the pains of those around them. In that segment also, there’s a large section of people, who want the needy to do better in life, but that is superficial. They don’t want others to do better than them in life. And then, the rarest of the rare, are those who dedicate each moment of their lives to the service of needy.

Now, it is noteworthy here that the context of ‘needy’ is also different for various segments of people. Needs can be of any sort, viz, financial, educational, emotional, social and mental. Based on their capabilities, people reach out to their families and relatives to an extent if someone is in need. But today, amidst the busy lifestyle that everyone is caught in, when a father doesn’t have enough time for his children, do you find people who are concerned more about others than their own self?

BENEVOLENCE ON MILLIONS

I happen to know one such divine soul of the Almighty who is regarded as a fatherly figure by millions of people across the world, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj. His birth is celebrated as ‘Pious Incarnation’ and his coronation as a spiritual leader is celebrated as ‘Great Benevolence’. Let’s get more insights!
Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj founded the socio spiritual organisation – Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa, Haryana, back in April, 1948. Later, he passed on the Spiritual legacy to the second master – Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj on 28th February 1960. Today, over 65 million people are disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda. By leading life on the path shown by their Guru, they also contribute to his social welfare endeavors.

EXPANSION OF ASHRAMS

After his divine coronation, Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj initiated the making of the Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa Ashram on the foundation laid by Shah Mastana Ji.
He expanded the previously built Ashrams by Shah Mastana Ji and built a new ashram in Barnava near Meerut (Uttar Pradesh). He has also penned down more than 20 spiritual texts and over 1500 hymns in various languages. Masses find these extremely helpful and simple to understand. Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj also uprooted the evils of discrimination from society. With his tireless efforts, he helped lakhs of people who are now living a blessed life.

SPIRITUAL LEGACY IS NOT LINKED TO FAMILY

It is said that spirituality is deeper than the ocean. Unlike paternal and maternal legacy, spiritual legacy is not passed on like family’s and only a true spiritual master can bring to the world and identify his divine successor.

Shah Mastana Ji explained to the then disciples gathered in the Spiritual congregation (Majlis), “I tested Satnam Singh Ji in every manner without him being aware of it. Shah Satnam Singh Ji had to demolish his house and bear humiliation, to learn the Method of Meditation (the Holy Naam).” He added, “Today, I have transformed Sardar Satnam Singh Ji from an ordinary person to the Supreme Being.”
He further explained why Shah Mastana Ji chose the name ‘Satnam’ for his successor. He said, “Satnam is the power which controls the Universe. It is the supporting power due to which the world exists.”
Curiously, Shah Mastana Ji expressed a doubt. He asked himself, “Only a part of the world’s population believes in Saints and others pay no attention to them. How will the souls get salvation if they are gripped in the cycle of birth and death (cycles of transmigration)? Later, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj clarified, “The soul of any person who utters ‘Satnam’ or who has His (Shah Satnam Singh Ji’s) pious Darshan, will never go to hell.”

True love day-The day to celebrate with True sense of Love by loving and Caring for Humanity

You may be wondering with the title and must be curious to know that how come a new term True love day is coined here.Though it’s true many of the youngsters are celebrating 14th Feb as True Love Day, as it’s symbolic to the day of lovers. But they goes an extra mile by loving humanity and serving the needy ones on this day in particular and through out the year too.

Table of contents:

  1. Celebrations of True love day
  2. More beautiful ways to celebrate the true love day
  3. Who started the true love day celebrations?

Celebrations of TRUE LOVE DAY!

True love day is marked with loving the kids who are orphans and never seen parents, giving them sweets, candies and study materials along with seasonal clothing and toys to play. As a research says if kids being treated well and given toys in childhood they gets encouraged to become good upon becoming adults. So it basically helps an healthy upbringing along with learnings for lifetime. True love day is also a day when Handful of youth of India indulge into tree plantation and plant saplings in their surroundings for a greener future to come as trees love unconditionally and give back fresh air to live.

More beautiful ways to celebrate the true love day

Next in line up is pledging and real time blood donation on the occasion of this day of love, which in real makes it a day of love and giving gift of life by donating blood to someone in need is highest form of love and affection. It connects humanity and encourages sense of togetherness among strangers too. True to life kinda experience is blood donation.

Pic source: derasachasauda.org

Giving due respect to parents too is being encouraged on this such day although respecting parents is an never ending process. But in today’s materialistic era the generation of this age often misses it or ignores. So this particular day can be a great reminder to love the parents and elders as they love and sacrifices a lot for the kids. So it becomes a responsibility as well as duty of kids to love back unconditionally, only then this Valentine day can be justified as a day of love. As love is not just limited to a relationship of boy and girl or for couples. Love means beyond ages and barriers of dates or days in particular. True love sees no bar, it unleashes one’s personality and make him or her feel more loving towards humanity.

Who started the True Love Day Celebrations?

Now by reading all this you might be wondering who are the people in real life? Who are celebrating this day as True Love Day instead of popular Valentine’s Day. So let me tell you that a race of MSGians or devotees of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ji Insan are on mark and doing their best to celebrate this day as True Love Day and beyond this day the year round welfare tasks make them real lovers of humanity and mankind. For the devotees of Dr.MSG, these kind of days brings a smile on other’s faces and they go out with full zeal to serve the needy ones with heart filled with love and really get it going in real time. Love brings humility; and happiness is all around when we love selflessly and purpose is to serve. No need to mention that today’s era is of Instant results, so does became the love (or let’s not mince words and call it lust). But with the fine efforts of youth devotees with line up of tree plantation, blood donation and several other humanitarian welfare tasks, TRUE LOVE Day is significant in many ways to give hopes of a brighter tomorrow and great lives.
