People vow each other to be together forever by their unbreakable bond of trust. Every year, 11th February is celebrated as a day of promises among people.

PROMISE – A SACRED AND VERBAL COMMITMENT:-

 A promise is a commitment that involves a guarantee by one to another to be on his words. It concerns a sacred bond of utmost trust and belief of partners in each other. They vow to be with each other and fulfill their promises at any cost as a sign of their love. Promise day is signified with an idea

of the pure and sacred dedication of partners.

  • DO YOU KNOW ABOUT SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS?

Casual promises are sometimes fulfilled and sometimes not but do you know about spiritual commitments? Yes, millions of volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda have committed noble pledges as a token of their loyalty and belief towards their Guru. These promises have not been only made but are being fulfilled perfectly by the volunteers.

We are going to talk about those spiritual promises which have reformed the lives of millions. These promises are:

  1. Promise to abstain from the take of alcohol, beer, or any type of other drugs.
  2. Promise to be vegetarian for your whole life.

The abandonment of alcohol or any other drug has worked for the betterment of life.

 The pledge to follow vegetarianism has lessened the cruelty for animals for the self needs of humans. 

The loyalty in social relationships has reformed the families of millions.

Not only these three promises but millions of volunteers have also pledged to serve humanity by the holy guidance of their chief. The volunteers of DSS are available

24×7 to help others in the hour of need. They have already served millions of lives by carrying out 138 welfare works initiated by the DSS chief. These pledges are carried out as a token of commitment by the followers. 

  • HOW IS PROMISE DAY CELEBRATED AMONG DSS VOLUNTEERS?

 DSS volunteers celebrate every auspicious or special occasion by doing charitable works. All the big events like foundation day, the birthday of their Chiefs, etc. are celebrated by performing 138 welfare works like Blood donation, Tree plantation, Food, Cloth, and Ration distribution, Donating necessary equipment to handicapped needy people, by empowering women and the environmental conservation activities, etc.

This promise day is also going to be celebrated as a fulfillment of promises made by millions of volunteers to serve mankind and humanity.

Not only this, the whole months of birthdays of spiritual heads of DSS are considered as months of commitments as followers pledge to abandon one bad habit daily for the better spiritual version of themselves.

The remarkable chapter in history of spirituality – 28th February.


Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj founded the socio-spiritual organization – Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa, Haryana in April 1948. For millions of devotees of Dera Sacha Sauda, 28 February is very special. They celebrate the day of 28 February as “Maha Rehmo Karam Diwas”. On this Day , Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj enthroned Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj enthroned as the next spiritual leader of Dera Sacha Sauda and thus the day is celebrated as day of ‘Great Benevolence’. His holiness passed on the Spiritual legacy to the second master – Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj on 28th February 1960. With pious benevolence, millions are living their life happily and peacefully.


Millions got imbued in divine hues.


On 28th February 1960 The divine congregation ceremony was organised with great zeal. The entire universe danced with immense happiness.
On the pious command of Sai Shah Mastana ji Maharaj, A royal stage was specially decorated.Every soul was drenched in divine benevolence.
Shah Mastana Ji in his divine voice sermonized that ” Satnam” – the pious name that people kept reciting throughout their lives but no one could picture Satnam. He is the same Satnam, (pointing towards His Holiness Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj), ” the only support this universe stands”. The whole environment got echoed with the slogan ” Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra”.

His Holiness showered innumerable benevolences towards the followers which cannot be imagined. Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj went to many villages amd cities and led the caravan of spirituality. Guruji made people free from many superstitions, removed their doubts in simplest way. His holiness ended up the dowry system by starting Brahm Vivah – dowry free marriages . 25th January is the day of celebration for millions who mark the day by doing welfare works all around the globe. What kind of unique celebration is this? Doing welfare works and that too on global level is something which can attract anyone’s attention.

Let’s know about why 25th January is so special!

103rd Pious Incarnation Day of Shah Satnam Singh Ji

The pious day of 25th January is the Incarnation Day of the second spiritual successor of Dera Sacha Sauda, Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj. This year, it is the 103rd Incarnation Day. Today, because of the teachings taught by the true master, millions of people are living a happy and content life by practicing the method of meditation taught by His Holiness and by doing welfare works with His pious teachings.

Celebrations of Incarnation Day at Dera Sacha Sauda

Disciples from far off places visited Dera Sacha Sauda and participated in the spiritual congregation. They listened to the pious sermons of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan with full concentration. The joy got multiplied multiple times when everyone got the gift of 8th letter of Saint Dr. MSG. The letter just made everyone danced in joy.

Revered Guruji initiated new welfare work taking the total to 138 which is ‘to help the orphans with food and medical treatment if they are ill’. Following this, this initiative was started by the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda on the pious Incarnation Day.

Food kits to the orphan children

A total of 25 food kits were distributed to the needy children by Revered Guruji during the ongoing celebrations at Dera Sacha Sauda marking the initiation of 138th welfare work.

Recently, two welfare works were added 136th and 137th in 7th letter by Revered Guruji Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. These welfare works were also carried out across nation by the volunteers. 136th welfare work is to get vaccinated and to help others get vaccinated for covid-19. Free vaccination camps are organized by the organization at various places to fulfil it. 137th welfare work is to wear mask and to motivate others to wear mask and to maintain social distancing. Following this, free mask distribution was done by the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda.

Food bank: Ration kits for the needy

Under the initiative food bank, a total of 71 ration kits were provided to the needy people by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan on the occasion of pious 103rd Incarnation Day of Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj. To help the needy, even during the pandemic when everyone was scared to step out of the house, the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda helped needy people by providing them with food and ration by going door to door to help them get through the difficult time.

Cloth Bank: Warm blankets distributed

Looking at the weather, to help the needy people bear the chilling winters, 131 warm blankets have been distributed during the celebrations of Incarnation Day of Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj by Saint Dr. MSG. Every year, the volunteers distribute warm clothes including socks, caps, blankets, sweaters, etc. to the needy people and children so that they don’t have to suffer.

Companion Indeed: The true way to make the differently abled self-dependent

To help the differently abled people live the life of dignity, initiative companion indeed was started by Revered Guruji Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji. Under this initiative, during the celebrations of the pious Incarnation Day, 10 tricycles were given by the Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers with the pious inspiration of Revered Guruji.

Empowering women

To make the women self-dependent, many women empowerment initiatives are being run by the Dera Sacha Sauda, one of them is Self-esteem. Under this initiative, free of cost vocational training is given to the women so that they can stand on their feet. Under this initiative, a total of 51 sewing machines were distributed during celebrations of 103rd Pious Incarnation Day of Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj.

Respecting motherhood by helping the pregnant ladies

31 nutrition kits were distributed to the pregnant ladies so that they can have better health and the unborn child can also grow with proper nutrition. There are many people around the globe who are unable to meet their day-to-day requirements and for them, maintaining proper nutrition in special conditions like pregnancy is near impossible. To help them, the initiative ‘Respect motherhood’ was started by Revered Guruji Saint Dr. MSG.

Homely Shelter: Making dreams come true

Many people dream of having their own home but for some, it seems to be an impossible reality. To make their dreams come true, the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda arrange resources from their own pockets and build a complete ‘ready-to-move-in’ home for them. Thousands of homes have been built and were gifted to the needy people. During the pious Incarnation Day celebrations, total 11 keys to such homes have been given to the needy.

This is truly an incredible way to celebrate the Incarnation Day.

Epitome of utmost kindness and unconditional love: Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj


Saints incarnate in this mortal world to make souls free from the cycle of birth & death. Souls are an integral part of supreme power, they are separated from Him & trapped in the network of Kaal (negative power). So, supreme power sends His messengers from time to time to get those souls back who are separated from Him. As He promised to all the souls that He will come & take them back to their real home after taking them out from the trap of negative power (Kaal).
Many saints incarnated in the history of India who came to this mortal world to let people know about the supreme power and to remember them about the promise they made with the Godfather, that they will practice Naam Simran in the human birth. A glimpse of the Holy Life of His Holiness Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj


Sardar Harbans Singh Ji is the only son of revered father Sardar Wariyaam Singh Ji & revered mother Aas Kaur Ji, who has taken birth after 18years of their marriage in the Sandhu family. His holiness incarnated on the pious land of Shri Jalalaana Sahib, district Sirsa, (Haryana) on 25th January 1919. At a later stage, Sai Mastana Ji changed His Holiness’ name to ‘Satnam’ who is the ultimate power in Himself. The Holy parents of His holiness were religious & spiritual people, they served the needy people & to every saint who came across to them. Holy parents served one sage who came to Jalalaana Sahib, he predicated about this divine child that after completion of 40years His holiness will go on his assigned duty for which purpose He will be incarnated by the Almighty.


In search of God from childhood


His Holiness was very curious about God from His childhood, His only motto in life was to meet with the God Almighty. He was deeply attracted to divinity & God. Shah Satnam Ji went to many devotees of God & sages in his life, but He was not satisfied with anyone from inside, no one told Him the true method through which he can connect with God.


The thirst was finally quenched when met with Sai Mastana Ji


Shah Satnam Ji is truly passionate about God, only the result of true devotion towards God and inner yearning was that you met the revered Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. When Shah Satnam Ji reached Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa, he had the divine glimpse of Revered Beparwah Ji and listened to His true Satsang. His Holiness were completely satisfied from inside and out. And there was no doubt left about God.


His Holiness blessed with Method of Meditation & with the name of ‘Satnam’


His holiness tried to take Naam –Shabad, but Sai Ji refused Him many times to give the naam & asked Him to attend regular Satsang by saying ‘when an order will come to give you Naam, we will call you by own’. And in between Sai Mastana Ji tested Him. On March 14, 1954, in Ghukanwali, the revered Beparwah Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj called out after the Satsang, ‘Harbans Singh Ji (Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj) you come and sit near our hut inside. Tonight you will get a Naam Shabad(Method of Meditation) after the order of Revered Sawan Shah Ji. Sai Ji asked Param Pita Ji to sit near Muhde, and made a promise by facing the Sangat that ‘today will give Him a special name,’ Will make Him the leader of “Jindaram” who will make the world proud.’ Beparwah Ji gave Him the name ‘Satnam’, and preached, ‘He is the controller of the whole universe’. And Beparwah Ji also announced, “Those who will utter Satnam & will see Shah Satnam Ji even for once will never go to hell”.


Bestowed with the Divine Throne of DSS by Sai Mastana Ji


Sai Mastana Ji chose Param Pita Ji as the second successor of Dera Sacha Sauda on 28th February 1960. Sai Mastana Ji bestowed the spiritual wealth & wisdom to Shah Satnam Ji in front of Sangat & to aware people about the Zindaram, Sai Ji made the procession in whole Sirsa city, that no one should be in doubt. After handing over the divine throne of Dera Sacha Sauda to Param Pita Ji as the second Patshahi, after almost 2 months Sai Ji left this mortal world on 18th April 1960.
Shah Satnam Ji has taken the charge of Dera Sacha Sauda, He worked day and night for the welfare of souls. He did the first Satsang on 10th June 1962 in village Jhumba Bhai Ka and thus continued to go from place to place, village to village. And after three years of throne, started giving the Naam Shabad from 18 April 1963.


His Holiness transformed millions of Life


Saints came to earth to make souls free from the cycle of birth & death & to make them remember them about their real home. Shah Satnam Ji has given method of meditation to make people free from all the worries & problems, He has made people free from superstitions, ended up the dowry system by starting simple marriages in front of Sangat without any dowry. His Holiness wrote more than 20books & 1500hymns for imparting spiritual knowledge to the masses in a simple way. He has established many ashrams in north India. After the completion of 28years dedicated to humanity, He chose 3rd successor of Dera Sacha Sauda as Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan on 23rd September 1990.


Dera Sacha Sauda set an example worldwide


Now Saint Dr. MSG is the current chief of Dera Sacha Sauda. The plant which Shah Satnam Ji planted has now become a huge Tree which is giving the shadow to every corner of the world with their humanitarian works. Devotees of DSS working on 137 humanitarian works dedicatedly, and they show their gratitude towards Shah Satnam Ji by helping people & by doing these humanitarian works selflessly in January & taking it forward to a whole year. Volunteers are following 136 & 137 welfare works as per the latest letter of Dr MSG to make this society free from Covid-19.

Humanitarians serving mankind selflessly

Have you ever seen any person for whom your heart might have screamed, ‘Look! He or she is a true humanitarian’.

Sometimes, we see viral images of people doing extraordinary works and we at that time think of them as ‘true warriors of humanity’. Have you met any such people?

Would you believe if I say that I have met and that too thousands?

Let me explain as it’s mind-blowing information!

Who are these true warriors of humanity?

They are not just 1 or 2 thousand but 70,000 in number. All of them are volunteers and not even a single person is forced. Moreover, do you know that they are not paid for the relief work they do, rather they pay from their own pocket and do the welfare work happily. Any person doing relief work at his/her own expense is so wonderful but 70,000 people doing this, there has to be some inspiration. Let’s know about them!

This is a relief force which was founded in 2006 and people started joining and in today’s date, the number stands at 70,000. This force is named ‘Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing’.  There are professionals from every sphere in this relief force including engineers, doctors, electricians, etc.

Who is the founder?

The founder of the ‘Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing’ is Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. Guruji founded this force on 22nd January in 2006. This was done keeping in mind the need of selfless service to humanity. Since then, this force is dedicated to humanity and on its foundation day, let’s know about some notable works done by the volunteers.

NEPAL EARTHQUAKE 2015: Thousands of volunteers went to Nepal in 2015 when earthquake hit and many residents were homeless and without any supplies. They were provided with relief materials and rehabilitated. Guruji went himself and did the relief work.

GUJARAT EARTHQUAKE: When Gujarat was shaken by earthquake and people were homeless, the same force of volunteers reached and built homes for affected people and also supplied relief material.

Darjeeling fire, tsunamis, floods are just other examples where the volunteers work like they are helping their own loved ones. It’s sometimes unbelievable how one can help strangers so much and that too at such a large scale and staying at a place for a long time where you are working continuously for unknown people without getting paid is not an easy thing to do.

Helping in covid pandemic

When everyone was scared of going out of their homes, the volunteers not only helped people by providing them ration by going home to home but also did blood donation. Blood banks were running short of blood as people were not coming forward to donate the blood. Not only this, to motivate the covid warriors, they distributed fruits and immunity booster kits to health care workers by going hospital to hospital not only across India but also abroad.

It doesn’t end here, the volunteers are providing masks, organizing vaccination camps and also doing sanitization to prevent the spread of covid virus. They are also motivating people to follow social distancing.

Welfare works to fight against Covid pandemic

Dera Sacha Sauda chief, Respected Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan is the founder of 135 welfare initiatives like Blood donation, Tree plantation, Environment Conservation, Distribution of Ration, food, and clothes, etc. Two more initiatives are added to the list by Him on 8th January 2022. These two initiatives are started to deal with the prevailing Corona Pandemic.

136th WELFARE WORK – THE NEW INITIATIVE

The current spiritual head of DSS, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan added the 136th welfare work as follow:

“Everyone will get the CORONA VACCINE and will inspire others to get the vaccine.”

 Amid this Corona Virus Pandemic, His Holiness blessed the volunteers with a new initiative. According to this, every volunteer will get vaccinated, and not

only this, but they will also inspire others to get vaccinated with both doses. 

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WELFARE WORK NO. 136

As we all know this Corona Pandemic is taking a crucial turn by introducing its various waves. The first two waves have already created destruction in the lives of many. Many people have lost their lives and many have lost their beloved ones. 

And now, the third wave is already knocking on our door. In this situation, we all need to be alert and take precautions as much as it is possible. Our Government has taken a very well initiative of vaccinating everyone who is above the age of 18 years.

Now, even the teenagers of age 15-18 years have been provided with vaccines.

Germs containing pathogens like bacteria, viruses, fungus, or any parasite are the main causes of any disease. Whenever any pathogen enters our body, the body starts to form antibodies to protect ourselves from it. Antibodies are the soldiers of the body which fight pathogens and keep the body healthy. The Vaccine contains dead or inactive parts of pathogens and when it is injected into our body, antibodies are created as a natural response by the body. The vaccine doesn’t cause any disease but only prepares the body to prepare itself to fight. So, the next time whenever the actual virus enters the body, the body is properly prepared for the fight, and by its immunity due to antibodies, it wins over the virus.

Therefore, proper vaccination should be done by us as vaccine helps to increase the immunity of our body and thus, help to fight the virus. 

We should get vaccinated with both of the doses. Additionally, there is also a need to acknowledge everyone the value of being vaccinated. There are still some people who think that vaccination is dangerous for the body or it’s fatal, which is wrong. Vaccination is a shield to protect us from the virus.

Therefore, this welfare work by Guruji deserves appreciation. We should vaccinate ourselves to be able to fight with Covid-19.

137th WELFARE WORK – A STEP TOWARDS OUR SAFETY

 The 137th humanitarian work initiated by Guruji is as follows:

“Everyone will put on masks and distribute masks to the needy for free. Also, everyone will keep a distance of 7 feet from each other as a safety protocol.”

 According to this, all the volunteers must put a mask on whenever they are going outside of their houses. The followers should also distribute free masks to the needy for their safety. Additionally, they have to keep a distance of 7 feet from the person in front of or beside them.

137th INITIATIVE- THE SIGNIFICANCE

Even if we all are vaccinated, still there is a need to protect ourselves by putting on masks. Masks act as a safety shield. We should also keep a reasonable distance from other persons to protect ourselves from this virus. The distance of 7 feet limits the spread of the Coronavirus.

There is a need to acknowledge everyone to protect the nation from this viral. We should not only follow covid protocols by ourselves but also inspire others to follow them. The unity in following the safety measures can save the lives of millions. Thus, we can also distribute masks to the needy to ensure their safety.

We should determine ourselves to fight this virus by following all the safety measures.

WHAT IS THE NEED FOR THESE INITIATIVES?

The initiatives of getting vaccinated, acknowledging others to be vaccinated, putting masks on & distributing them to the needy, and keeping a distance of 7 feet are accurate and helpful. In this pandemic, there is a need to protect the world from the loss of lives or good health. Precaution is always better than cure. 

In the conclusion, we all should try to follow these two great initiatives by Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. True Saints are the messiahs who descend on this mortal world to free the souls trapped in the evils. Today’s Man is entangled in different evils and forgets the true aim of life i.e. salvation. True Saints help the souls to get rid of their pains and take them back to the heavenly abode.

What’s so special about January?


For millions of people, the month of January is the blessed month. On 25 January 1919, the Messiah of humanity, the second spiritual master of Dera Sacha Sauda – Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj Incarnated on this mortal earth. The moment of incarnation of his holiness was a moment of ultimate bliss. The whole nature danced in utmost gratitude and waves of happiness spread all around.

The whole family rejoiced with utmost benevolence.


His holiness took birth in Sri Jalalana Sahab, Haryana in the family of Revered Father, Shri Wareyam Singh Ji, and Revered Mother Mata Aas Kaur Ji. The birth name of Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was Sardaar Harbans Singh Ji. His Holiness was the sole child of his parents and took birth after 18 years of marriage. So the child was extremely special for the family. Both parents were pious souls and believers of spirituality and humanity. Both of the parents belonged to the Sidhu family. While growing up, there were hundred of events that made people nearby witness his holiness’ divine energies.


The quest for True Spiritual Master and succession of Dera Sacha Sauda.


Since childhood, His Holiness was inclined towards God. As a child, his holiness was curious about his existence and wished to see him. His holiness had a keen interest in spirituality since childhood. This curiosity led to the quest for a perfect spiritual master who would fulfill the wish of achieving God and salvation. During this journey, His Holiness met several people and visited many places. Finally, His Holiness got the chance to attend a spiritual discourse of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who is the founder and at that time, spiritual head of Dera Sacha Sauda.

Finally, on 28 February 1960, Shah Mastana Ji revealed their secret to the world by making His Holiness the successor to the Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa. Sai Ji blessed Param Pita Ji with Spiritual treasures of both realms and honored him with the name of ‘Shah Satnam Singh Ji’.
Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj sermonized that the soul who utters ‘Satnam’ or who has His (Shah Satnam Singh Ji’s) pious Darshan will never go to hell. The world then witnessed the ultimate amalgation of divine powers which is befitting the whole of mankind till today.

Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj – the true spiritual master of millions.


Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj traveled to many cities and villages and led the caravan of spirituality. His Holiness bestowed millions with Naam Shabad or the method of meditation. At that time, People were indulged in alcohol addiction and senseless customs in the name of religion. Shah Satnam Ji awakened masses to shun all evils and connected them with the true path of spirituality. His holiness taught people the true love of God, taught lessons of selfless love, and made them enjoy the depths of spirituality. With pious grace, the disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda came to be acknowledged as “Premi” ( Lovers of God) in society. On 23 September 1990, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj presented the divine power in front of the whole world in form of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan by making later his holy successor. The moment is a remarkable chapter in the history of spirituality when the universe witnessed how radiance met with radiance.
The holy teachings of Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj are guiding millions of lives worldwide and making their lives happier each day. The method of meditation has made millions of lives prosperous and free of sorrows. With the grace of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan who is the current chief of DSS, volunteers of Dera Sacha Said are excelling each day in the field of humanity.
