World sight day: theme and significance


World sight day is observed every year on 14th of October. The theme for this year is ‘Love your eyes’. Many people suffer from eye related ailments and many just ignore them till they become bigger issues beyond curable level. Many a times, disease at initial level can be treated and reversed back completely but at advanced stage, some permanent damage occurs. So, awareness regarding sight and to ‘love your eyes’ is important.
This day holds importance as it brings attention to blindness and visual impairment. Many times, a person’s vision can be improved and sometimes, to 6/6. So, giving importance to sight is important.

What is postmortem eye donation?


To donate eyes is something anyone can do after death. You just need to fill form with hospital where you give consent to donate your eyes after your death. If someone has not filled the form, their family members can still donate the eyes by their will. The eyes need to be taken within 6 hours of death. The cornea is the part which is used. There are many people who are blind because of corneal disease and they can get their vision back via corneal transplantation.

The relief operation and low-cost housing designs
Following the earthquakes in Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir, low-cost housing projects were undertaken on a large scale under the guidance rog Saint Dr. MSG. The designs of these houses were devised by Saint Dr.MSG and executed by Dera volunteers. Safety, utility, and comfort were maintained at the least possible cost for welfare purposes. Relief operations were carried out during natural disasters in various remote areas after which disaster-prone buildings were constructed to ensure the safety of natives.

The one who repairs society in unique ways: Jattu Engineer.
Guruji in his movie Jattu Engineer plays gives the message of hygiene and cleanliness. His holiness has portrayed the message of rural development by the establishment of Biogas Plants. Guruji has emphasized the need of constructing a healthy and moral society by instilling moral values among students at a younger age.
Guruji portrays how major technical issues can be overcome with simple techniques called Jattu Engineering.
